Hi John, did I notice at 8.57 in this video the guard slightly move the sword across his shoulder toward the woman, standing too close. She didn't notice and the guard moves it back again. Subtle version of step back, perhaps? Thanks for all you share. Love your videos and commentary

I watch a lady in Scotland called What's for Tea. She shows her weeks worth of shopping and later her meals. I'm from the deep south US. I was amazed at the chips and lasagna meal. We might have lasagna and salad. She also uses chips( fries to me) and beans. We have a wide variety of baked beans here but don't eat them quite so often. Everything she makes looks delicious, but I would be huge if I ate her meals. Take a peak at her channel, I just barely understand the accent.

they cannot comprehend they are on guard duty and think they are instead props...they will not grab a policeman or soldier at a military installation to have a photo taken with them. no brains inside their skulls.

I can't believe how someone can think they can grab the arm of an armed soldier on duty; would they be happy to have some stranger grab THEIR arm, talk about entitled people thinking they can do what they want in any circumstance....... 😮

12:02 The girl is under the misconception the guard is immobilized because it is just a wax statue and not a live person. They have those in San Francisco, a Ronald McDonald stone statue sitting on a bench, and tourists take pictures on the bench and because it is not a live person, they do a lot of touching. I think that is stupid of her because she should first ask if this is a "living person" and not a cutout that she could play with. Can she not see that the person is breathing - ergo, a person who have feelings and can be offended by her action.

Yes but she got one of his icy stares, the look of what do you think you are doing. Peter Ellis is my favorite guard, I heard he has left service I am sorry to hear that. He was so kind t😮o children, he would step closer to little children posing who were respectfully standing away. He is a kind person but very professional.

You aren’t the only one! He’s awesome and so handsome too. He’s not been on guard duty recently. Instead he’s been wearing his army camos and taking care of the horses, so is able to be less formal and more talkative. His personality is so cute, something you can’t really see when he’s on guard duty.

He probably left the military because he was being harassed by women old enough to be his mother, grandmother, haha. I saw a video where a woman who was clearly in her 60s or 70s was saying she traveled all the way from Washington state to see Peter, and it was his last day. She asked where Peter was and the COH said he just left, just got a ride somewhere. She said she told the COH, “Take me to him.” Obviously he would never. It was so bizarre, though. If an old man came looking for a young woman in her late teens to early twenties, that young woman would be creeped out. She’d get a restraining order. It’s the same for guys having old women drooling over them. It isn’t flattering. It’s just disturbing.

She literally GRABBED his arm. That’s something that firstly, if a MAN had done to a woman he would have been arrested, so surely is unacceptable if a woman does it to a young man, and secondly if she had done to any OTHER random stranger, would have likely ended up with an elbow in the nose and for good bloody reason. I was watching a documentary on the King’s Guards and one of the officers said that, when doing an inspection, there has to be a full colour reflection of the officer’s white glove on the boot of the soldier being inspected from a certain distance before he can be passed.

I read that she left the country to go to her husband’s country of origin (Gambia, Ghana?). I don’t know how true that is though. ETA Someone else said she was banned from returning to Horse Guards.
