Gosh, I love this guard so much!! If you go through all of the videos, he is the same soldier that does a little side step for a photo op with the well behaved kids, or special needs kids. He fixes the equipment on one of the horses and goes to give the horse a little smooch, he walks slowly but with purpose and seems to get around the crowds of people in such a mannerly way. He has won my heart with all the specialty in his personality. Plus looking like a young Tom Cruise in the face doesn’t hurt one bit.
You can tell Trooper Ellis from me "You're cute as hell". On a sensible note, he's always so professional, especially with tourists who are behaving like total bellends. He doesn't need to shout. One look is enough. But he also has a kind side too, which I've seen in other videos
This guard never has to say a word the look is enough. Then he will do a slight lean so people get a better picture. Have watched him from day one. He's Absolute magic.
I don't know if his intention was to be so loved and desired, but he achieved it only by being extremely cordial and kind, (besides being beautiful) and with exciting gestures towards some very polite tourists, but he is the one that most people choose to take pictures of and take as a souvenir. Although many would take it to him...
He's gorgeous! And sweet too! I love how he is with the children and the horses. When he kissed that one horse, he became my favorite guard! Handsome and kind!
I love this guard, he should stare at all these morons like they stare at him. So funny, that lady thought she was something, he proved her wrong. You go sir.
This has demonstrated immense patience with small children and infants. He rarely says anything or shouts but from the results he gets when he does respond, he doesn’t really need to, he appears to project menace without having to say a word. It’s funny as h..l to see!
He is the leader of the pack and has a natural way of dealing with every situation, just by looking they’re step aside. It’s something you can not learn it’s a talent and he is using it very well. He is well balanced that will make him a strong person in many ways and a fest too work with. Also the horses love him feeling his good nature and being like this and not make believe ore acting ❤❤❤
I’ve seen him coyly beckon a little boy over who wanted to get close to him but a parent took him away. After the guard beckoned him over the parent let him go to him
🤣 That was a real WTF moment between him and her. He was probably laughing inside but he's learnt to keep his very handsome face so straight. He might just be my 2nd favorite Guard. ♡
@@pollyg4505 oh yes? Good for him! 👏 I've only been watching this type of videos for one week (i cross accidentally) and is a pleasure to watch the details he had, maybe a coincidende that usually is him? I think only a good heart can do naturally this. Now is he still on duty? Because i don't see him anymore (plus i don't know how is this work and i'm from another country)
@@reichreich7070 He walks very slowly & doesn't shout for space. If someone stands too close to him he slowly turns & stares until they get the message & if there is someone apprehensive about getting too to him for a photo, but he feels they are deserved of it, he will step next to them. The horses love him, too!
This Guard is excellent every time he is on Duty he's the same you get to close to him or try and take the p... he gives you an icy Steer just love the blues and royals. Thank you for your service Godbless you all❤❤❤❤❤🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
One of the things I really like about trooper Ellis is the way whenever he’s on gatesman duties, every time he goes over to the boxes he always pauses for a second to have a quiet word with the horse too, and all the horses seem to love him…horses do tend to have good taste. The guy also has, like Corporal Carrot in the Discworld Watch series, krisma(you’ll have to read the books ;) )………tons and tons of krisma, which is something you can’t learn. Also the death stare from hell lol(which is what I REALLY love the guy for ofc😂)
I like how the guard needed a while of seclusion. There shall be a soundproof swearing chamber behind that booth where for a few seconds one can be very generous to the world.
I don’t believe he even looked at her, he looked towards the guard in the box. Someone had just said ‘do not touch the reins’ and he was checking what was going on.
I have seen a couple of times doing the get back behind the white line and crowd control recently and shutting the doors on the boxes his voice is very recognisable definitly in the last few weeks but blink and you miss him
Respect is a basic social and moral attitude that shows recognition, appreciation and respect for other people or ideas. It is the ability to recognize and respect other people's rights, opinions, boundaries and dignity. Respect also includes the willingness to treat others with kindness, courtesy and tolerance, regardless of differences in opinions, beliefs, cultures or ways of life. Respect is an important basis for healthy interpersonal relationships, cooperation, social harmony and peaceful coexistence in society. My utmost respect to the Kings Guard LG Thomas
@@marywood6270 When he stands to attention he favours his left leg, right leg isn't bearing weight. I do that when my sciatic nerve is playing up. Those men (and women) are amazing. To keep their focus through pain and idiots staring, and laughing at you.
O. M.G. I watch these videos because I can’t believe what I’m seeing children I can forgive but the adults act like the children. As for our favourite guard he only has a problem with the posers, and he soon sort’s them out with his now famous stare they can’t get away quick enough.
11:01 -- FYI, the Guard was looking at something else, or someone else, a bit farther away, like checking on something/someone, and not at the woman beside him.
Nope. He was looking at the woman. If you see several of his videos, he does this whenever a woman gets too close or treats him disrespectfully. I've never seen his "death stare" at any other time.
I think that's "Ellis" - the hottest and nicest of the guards - most of the guards will knock the tourists down if they get in the way - Ellis will subtly navigate around them - he knows who pays the bills.
I can understand their frustration when someone disobeys the rules but could some of this be a language barrier between all the different countries that visit that they don’t understand what they are yelling at them.
I’d have thought having a guy in a 2 foot tall helmet with a bright red plume and a sword advancing on you, yelling ANYthing might well be a subtle hint to get the hell outta the way, no?. As for pushing back behind the bollards, or the white lines in the the yard, they can SEE people being told and shown where to go. It isn’t a huge leap of logic that if everyone is being pushed behind there that it might be a good survival move to do the same, hmmm?
He was actually looking beyond her. We tend to forget that London is on a red alert right now and his job is to be aware of possible suspicious activity.
If you watch very closely from 14:06 you can see that the guard Peter is leaning very slowly towards the mother and her child so they can have a better picture off him. He always does that when people respect his personal space.
PLEEEASE put a safety screen around horse and guard. Stop these stupid humans from interfering with horse and guard as they are working. Would they want to be patted, crowded, stroked, shouted, scared, etc while working. Obviously there would be safety precautions involved. Charles think of your employees.
I stumbled on these videos awhile back. It's amazing how the women think the guards are into them. Always trying to pose for them. Immaturity at its finest.
HorseGuards is closed atm. That’s why most of the people who film there are puting up older footage in the meantime. They’re taking up the yard right now and expecting to be reopening after Xmas. This guy, trooper Ellis, was on duty as a stableman(in camos) the week before the closure, but the LifeGuards were on duty the last week I think from memory (I DO have the memory of a guppy however lol)
What is wrong with the people who are in charge with horses and the Guards. They need to sort all of these tourist out and stop the 😊tourists out and stop making fools of the guards it needs something too be done soon Good luck to the guards. 😢😢😢😢 4:40
With the number of nutters loose on our streets now, how can this be safe for our guards and horses? It would be a shame to have to lump all tourists as a threat, but surely they have to be seen that way. I know that a huge percentage are genuinely nice people, but you only need one, and in those masses how do they know who that is, I know security is top notch, and people aren’t aware of how much they’re being observed, but if they can’t show respect because they should, then they must be forced to do it by increased visible security and the threat of proper punishment if they don’t.
