Cover rule changed so that flying unis don't benefit from it. Basically the whole army. Low tide had to change

I think this looks both fun and strong, with the significant exception that pretty much everything relies on rolling a 3+, which is one of the worst of the mechanics that GW seems to love.

I think the Ishlaen Guard design is to rush and pin tar-pits before they can get into position, with Riptide active it would punish free-retreat harassments infantry like Skaven.

Gotta agree with roubledouble here, I don't see the punishing part, but I can agree that they might be able to pin tarpits! But with that profile, wouldn't most things be equally good at that? They're only better in that role on the charge, right?

Chin up Ryan. These indexes are fairly barebones. Gw probably has a small garage team on it, looks like a 2 man job personally lol. We wont get anything great for anyone until the battle tomes. This is just to wet your whistle.

Really disagree that we are behind. I feel like with the amount of movement shenanigans and unlimited teleport spell. Null deploy can be really sweet too. Tidecaster is basically old priest + wizard. I think we are going into 4e very strong and extremely disruptive to enemy battle tactics and turns (especially since we can teleport in enemy hero phase after they picked a tactic).

How would you null deploy? The ability that lets you set up in reserve is once per battle and it only targets one regiment, right? Or am I missing something? My head is spinning with all the faction focuses, so I might 😂

Imo pretty dissapointing Index. I would say in 2nd worst group after Ogors, alongside with Cities. A lot of 3+ abilities really don't seems good, looks like they try to randomize more things in purpose. Meh, I hope other units and heroes would be better.

The abilities are pretty good, I'd say, but it just sucks you'll only get it 66% of the time.
