I like how Eggman just knew the plot would keep Sonic alive when everyone else doubted it.

Well Eggman is fully self aware of the Sega pilot armor now and my respect for Cheese went up a bit after he punched Zavok lol

I was asking myself "why the sol dimension?" And then i got it. You see, sun in Portuguese is Sol, so that's the relation i made.

I was thinking that Sonic was going to be waking up in a apocalyptique dimension where Eggman win.

cream in this part pretty much: "i have had with these monkey-fighting zetis on this monday-to-friday planet!" man, poor gemerl, he got yamached. omega is great here, i love him. oh no, metal sonic escaped, if only shadow had some sort of spear-like chaos energy projectile that is strong enough to stop super neo-metal, yup, too bad he has nothing like that, nope.

Gotta say though, it was a surprise seeing blaze's dimension but I find it an excellent opportunity to not only have the side characters in a story on their own but to give new comers to sonic an introduction to the sol dimension and it's characters

Now in the IDW version of Mobius, not only do you have access to the Chao Gardens, and the chance to battle 5 Bonus Bosses from the original game, it's also confirmed that the Sol Dimension is returning with a new look! Not much is known about the renovations to the dimension at this time, all we know is that two of the five bosses will be located there. Future details may surface soon.

There has to be a time where eggman does get punished. Hopefully in issue 32 or 34

Well, my idea was washed out completely. And here I thought Sega could give us some answers about their 2 worlds theory, but instead Sonic is transported to the Sol dimension. Maybe this could be a starting point for a new "Rush" game: Sonic and Blaze once again on a new adventure in the Sol dimension, but this time we focus on another zone of this world, having the castle as a base of operations. Sonic and Blaze must travel through the Sol dimension to track down the Sol Emeralds once again. What do you think?

My theory as to how Sonic gets back is if the chaos emeralds aren’t with him he’ll have to use the Sol emeralds himself if Blaze can’t come with him.

Think if Amy’s stress becomes a start of one or MULTIPLE arc’s? Just like Prowl did in IDW TRANSFORMERS

Well Zavok is a part of the upcoming Bad Guys mini series, so this isn't the last we'll see of him.

Shadow chases after the shuttle, only to be intercepted by Metal Sonic. They fight on Angel Island's summit and Metal wins, pinning Shadow under a fallen tree, before rejoining his master. Shadow recovers and continues pursuing the shuttle, but it's no good. All he can do is silently clench his fist in anger as Eggman gets away once again.

That ending was really shocking for me with the Blaze. I wasnt expecting that at all.

I know it was a pipe dream, but I was really hoping this would have led Sonic to a dimension where he’d find the Freedom Fighters (Sally, Rotor, Bunnie, etc). Maybe have that universe be missing their Sonic or whatever. I dunno. I just miss them lol.

I think Eggman Nega would show up and team up with Eggman with a new evil plan, since Sonic is now with Blaze.

After hearing you propose the idea of him travelling to Sonic's world and some of the other suggestions in the comments I am starting to think this was a pretty big missed oppurtunity. They could expand the lore so much. I really believe that at some shape or form mr. Tinker will make his comeback and I though this was the perfect chance to do so. They could itroduce more dimensions, since the canon already has technically 3 dimensions and two worlds in the main dimension, or at least go deeper into the mechanics of those dimensions but nope out of all the possible things that could happen we got the most boring one, which is still exciting but even him teleporting to a different continent would serve the world building...

I think Sonic will need some time to rest in Blaze's dimension, after everything thats happened a break( and maybe some medical attention ) is in order.

This was a good epilogue to the saga. My theory for sonic coming back is he will turn into "burning sonic" and head back to his dimension. Since the super form counter part of the sol dimension is a burning form thats why I think he will become burning sonic.

Couldn't Shadow just teleport in like he usually does? Poor Gemerl for being a replica of an ancient doom bot that can possess and upgrade machines, he went down to the arguably inferior metal sonic.

Has Amy been the one to suffer the most in this arc? And I mean out of the main cast of characters. Gemerl is down! Tails, do your thing! I see these epilogue issues as post game clean up.

I loved this issue, the metal virus thing was cool but it dragged on at least to me. poor Amy, she has to go through so much and the last thing Sonic thought about was Blaze. well we know where the shippers are blowing up right now. and then Rouge on the Master emerald. wow that was good, can't wait to see more of that. also Zavok was top tier this whole comic series, more of that too please. the whole issue was great and I can't wait to see more.

Considering Sonic is the star of the series, he will need all the rest he can get. I understand the heroes are exhausted beyond belief, but I still think it was a copout to have Eggman escape. But, unless a new archvillain takes the reigns, we will never see Eggman truly pay for his crimes At least Zavok was dogpiled by the other heroes and literally had the s*** beat by them. Nice moment for them to shine. Cream was a badass for standing up to Zavok. Credit where its due, it takes guts to get back up after that beatdown. Metal pretty much pulled a page out of Kano's playbook from Mortal Kombat when he rammed his hand through Gemerl. Damn. Shadow and Metal's fight was arguably leagues better, which I agree MBM. But, Shadow has the means to destroy Metal, but I imagine the reality of no longer being a zombot was settling in. Also, Metal is more of a defensive/diversionary fighter, so dispatching Metal to supress Shadow was overall logical. Focusing on the Restoration, I still think it was a copout for them to let Eggman escape. Amy however looked like she was absolutely wrecked, and I can sympathize with her. After everything: The Eggman War The Return of Metal Sonic The Metal Virus and the fact they lost many big names and nearly LOST to the crisis It allows them to have their moments of rest. Tails made a big argument that the Zeti are still on the planet and are in the midst of a retreat, and to leave them unchecked will lead to more chaos. But, pay heed that the people of Orchardville metioned Glen never returned, and Zor gives heavy implications that he either knocked him out, or killed him offpanel. They won't show it obviously, but the implications make it more disturbing As for Sonic, It is perfectly reasonable to assume the Topaz responded to Sonic's thoughts as he grew ever closer to exhaustion. At least it culminates into our first glimpse of the Sol Dimesion and some characters there. (Perhaps we get to see Marine like we did on the cover of Issue 24?) Overall, I thought it was good ending. I mean, the road to recovery is gonna be long and sloppy. Especially with all the stuff that happened before. Considering some big names are in need of a rest, I say let the main cast have their moments in the spotlight. They earned it.

I hope they use omegas kidnapping as a way to develop shadow character

Now Amy knows what Sally Acorn went through in the Archie canon, being a resistance leader is NOT easy. But where's my girl Sheep Girl, she's been helping out Amy all this time and she was like the last known npc survivor.

This really was an amazing finale.

One question. HOW DID SONIC GET INTO THE SOL DIMENSION IF HE OPENED A PORTAL TO THE FLIPPING *S U N*

I got a theory, what if Sonic use the blaze's emeralds to become 'burning Sonic' it makes since why the cover of that issue shows Sonic coming down from the sky completely on fire, a way for him to come back home. Sonic had other different forms of "Super" before. Just a theory.

I honestly hope that Infinite gets to return in the comics cause we don't actually know much about him nor do we actually know what his ultimate fate was plus literally NONE of the main characters including Team Dark have not even gone to look for Infinite or mention him its like he just popped out of memory and is nowhere to be found and if he doesn't then they should at least get to include the Phantom Ruby again cause out of all of the magical gems that have been introduced that ONE gem has only been shown THREE times and we never actually saw Infinite use THE phantom ruby, he used the completed prototype cloned phantom ruby and clones are usually limited on power as evidenced by what happened in the Sonic Forces game and since the Sonic Mania Plus was a continuation that showed that that dimension's Eggman got sent into a rift created by the Phantom Ruby and then of course we don't learn what happened to it again. Which now that I think about it could there be a Phantom Ruby in the main Sonic's Dimension?

1. I was right about "Zeti will return", but i not said one thing: especially,Zavok. But he is captured right now, while others is survived. 2. Eggman kidnap Omega, and planning using him to counter-attack. But even if Sonic in Blaze's world, others will fight with Eggman. And after this, Omega still needs a new, but same body. 3. I have so many predictions, where Sonic is right now. And to be fair, i did not expected that he appear in Blaze's world.

okay so, the phantom ruby created a perfect replica of him right? and sonic solo'd the zavok right? so why did it took so much to simply take down the dude? matter of fact, how is he still able to stand when SUPER SONIC out of all people beat the snot out of him? sonic beat the perfect replica back in forces so HOW does zavok wake up after the beating from a strong has heck form like super sonic?

So you mean to tell me...that if Sonic managed to warp into the Sol Dimension, that means he might've taken some of the metal virus with him...? Oh god... Also, I know this may be far-fetched but--Sonic traveling through alternate Dimension...hmmm, possible multiverse confirmed...?

And so many people were hoping that Sonic was going to end up in the Archie Sonic universe and have the Freedom Fighters introduced into IDW Sonic with hopes of seeing the possibility of IDW Sonally. Nope! SEGA was having none of that! They cancelled Archie Sonic, so I see no reason for them to bring in that defunct non-canon Sonic comics series into IDW Sonic. In any case, September will be the month of the two-part epilogue that will close out IDW Sonic's darkest story arc to date. And poor Amy Rose, she has more than too much on her place as it is with Tails playing his part as the support character for both Sonic and Amy and Knuckles being an absolute jerk. And impressively, Amy is handling Sonic's disappearance and possible loss very maturely as she's experienced this more times in the video games than she needed to. Rather than crying her eyes, she's more concerned about re-establishing Restoration, helping the civilians and refugees rebuild their livelihood and dealing with the six Zetis. And Knuckles really doesn't care.

So going into this issue I had quite a few hopes and fears. And I have to say all of my fears came true, some other arguably worse things happened on top of it and pretty much all of my hopes were shattered. So were to begin. So lets talk about the Zeti first before I go on. So while I don't have any problems with Zazze, Zik, Zenna and Zor. do I have to talk about Zommon here before coming to Zavok. Back in Issue 27 did I raise a point that its illogical that Zommon could be taken out that easily with just dropping a iron gate on him especially given that he was powered up by a Chaos emerald. Now some people raised the point that this Gate was properly really heavy and so it makes sense. BUT LOOK WHO WAS RIGHT AT LAST IT WAS ME! Because as we can clearly see him can Zommon even without any Chaos Emerald power enhances easily just flip the entire thing over with out having anything resembling real damage. SO Yes Issue 27's both fights are brocken beyond believe. Now with fatso out of the way lets get to the Zavok fight. I am talking the fight specifically because I can totally buy that Zavok still wouldn't give up. So my main issue here is actually that all the heroes all of a sudden appear. I mean its not like anyone could have informed them about Zavok in that short amount of time, one 3 of them could even get there on there own (the heroes were on Angle Island while Zavok was on the main planet) and at least 5 of them properly right now as seen at the end of last issue should still be celebrating that there got there loved ones back together. I also have a small issue with Cream here that being not that she got her mother into safety and stood up to Zavok more like the opposite in that Vanilla had little to no reaction to her Daughter and we missed the opportunity to actually see Vanilla for ones see how strong her little girl actually is. But no not even this wasted potential is my problem, My Problem is that Cream's first thing to do was just screams "Cheese Get'im" see just getting this Sonic Heroes reference in would be okay if Cheese would have actually been with Cream already by this point which he wasn't he was with Tails and Chocola prior to flying here. Meaning it makes no sense for Cream to order him to attack when form what she knows he wasn't there. (this is especially true given that Cream at no earlier point was trying to order cheese while he was a Zombie Robot showing that she wouldn't make this mistake). But there is one more really BIG issue in it. That being Gemerl. He was taking out by Zavok's electromagnetic field control (to give the other characters a fighting chance as other wise he would have soloed him) which makes no sense as a Chaos Emerald powered up Zenna couldn't remain in control of him after he brock his wireless Lan receiver and there is no way that I guy base Zavok after a Super Sonic beating to be stronger than Zenna powered up with a gem that contains the ultimate power. But speaking about the people at the Zavok fight I thing Its time to talk about Eggman's escape because damn that's a real mess. Going backwards do we have the Metal Sonic Vs Shadow fight in which shadow forgets that he got plenty of Long range attacks and the ability to teleport over small distances fallowed by the fact that Wisper should still be around a sniper so good at being a sniper that she 1)Ones took down an entire battle carrier with a Single Shot 2)Ones got her Target perfectly on Eggman while being in the same cockpit 3) And has infinite living ammunition So where the hell was she to down the carrier like the pro that she is? Than do we have the one hit kill on Gemerl which makes even less sense. Listen Gemerl's body is so tough it survived Planetary re-entrance after Super Sonic and Eggman kicked his ass, is based on the Gizoid design that was to tough that nothing Gerald Robotnik did throw at it could even make a dent into it and took several hits from Zombots without taken even so much as a scratch. If this is actually how strong Metal Sonic is suppose to be in this story should Sonic and Knuckles both had died pretty much immediately against Super Neo Metal Sonic and no one should have even been able to survive a flick of Master Overlord. I mean Gemerl took planetary re-entrance about as well as Shadow did and Shadow is suppose to be one of the tougher charterers in this series being the ultimate lifeform and all. So how does he even block a Single hit from Metal in this issue and Metal apparently is strong enough to punch a hole throw Shadow's chest. And not lets go back to the ship on Which Eggman actually escaped on. First of all the "I only took non essential parts" line is a cop-out as he build that Portal Generator together with Tails and he would have no control which parts Tails was salvaging from the plane. So than according to Knuckles was Rouge somewhere between issues given that job to keep taps on Eggman. But she rather hugs the Master Emerald. Ahm did something put something into Rouges Drink or what happened here sure she loves the shiny bling bling's but when she got a job did this in the past always took priority for her as she is a professional (in Rivals 2 even collecting the Chaos Emerald for a third party and being willing to give them up until she learned her commissioner was Eggman) But wait wasn't there someone else that was suppose to be the boss of this flouting island that was so super protective that just because Eggman was on the Island he refused to come and help save the world? OH right so LETS TALK ABOUT KNUCKLES! Okay Knuckles writing throughout this comic so far was atrocious. First we move all of the accomplishments of the Resistenz from Knuckles to Amy for no good reason than does this series wants to tell us that in an Eggman ruled would would Knuckles leave the Master Emerald and Angle Island unguarded and wouldn't at least build a resistance base on it to prevent Eggman from just grabbing it THAN does Knuckles become to over protective about the damn Emerald that he was refusing to aid saving the world from a Zombie Apocalypse (which is Sonic Forces Tails levels of out of Character for him) with a reasoning that only works because the Heroes refuse to do the smart thing in put Eggman in a straight jacked AND NOW DOES HE TURN FAIL TO PAY ATTENTION TO EGGMAN LEADING TO HIM ESCAPING AND BEHAVES LIKE LITTLE KURIBO'S TRISTAN WHEN EATOS BLASTED THE PHARAO BACK TO ANCIENT EGYPT WITH HIS "ANY MINUTE NOW" STICK. Like Seriously as if removing any development from Knuckles and turning him back into SA1 Knuckles with flouting Island and all wasn't bad enough no than did we also had to make him super protective only for it to not be at the more important moment to be. So in short: -Knuckles Sucks. -Issue 27 is worse than before -Eggman's escape is nearly as contrived as the resolution to the Zombot problem -Rouge is obviously High as #*+- -Main Characters now have a Zavok sense -And Metal Sonic was only ever using 1% of his true power to give his opponents a fair change because he is truly to much like Sonic. I feel like I am forgetting something.. or Right Gemerl is all of a sudden badly damaged even throw he wasn't in the last 2 comics he appeared in great art consistency here guys its totally not the 4 or so time that happened in this story arc and it certainly didn't just happened with the previous 2 issues. Omega being on the ship is oddly convenient given that last time we saw him Cream was holing him outside the ship but I guess its not to bad. Same goes with Metal given that he took quite a fall last issue and seemingly took no damage from it. And Sonic crashing right in front of Blazes castle is rather convenient both in that he appeared in a dimension with allies and that he did so right on said allies door step (would it have killed Ian to make it slightly less convenient by having him end in the ocean and being fished out and Blazes troupes inform her about an interesting catch?)(And not the Sun Sol connection isn't a good enough reason as Sonic is not known for his Spanish or Latein skills so not only is the Sun Sol Emerald connection wage as it is but it wouldn't even make much sense for Sonic to make that connection as he properly doesn't even know this(outside of the Spanish language version that is) also it its really that than why did he only send him self to blaze and not any of the Metal Sludge unless we now get the Metal Virus Arc Blaze edition which I seriously hope isn't the case) I was hoping now that the Metal Virus is gone things would go up again and like half of the preview pages even gave me hope but as it seams do we stay in the bad zone for a while longer. Hopefully the next issues get better)

I don't know what's worse, Knuckle's flanderization, the blatant lack of stakes, or your monotone voice. Edit: Also regarding your explanation for Sonic winding up in the Sol Dimension, yeah no that's not how a stressed mind focused on a singular goal works sweety, the real answer is Flynn's a shitty writer and didn't think about it logically.
