If people would want to see that I can do a comparison, but for my laptop exactly alienware area 51m r2, this works the best, honestly it's not quiet so don't expect it to be quiet but it's definitely quieter than ur laptop fans going 100% anyway I would do the video if more people want to see it... Also I got a new video coming up. HOW TO INSTALL A DESKTOP GPU INTO A LAPTOP 😂 I want to try a 3090 or a 4070ti or 4090, or a amd 6900xt or 7900xtx. So I want to make that alienware laptop run a desktop card. (the laptop has a 150w desktop cpu 10900k 10 core already plus a rtx 2080 super) imagine plugin a 4090 or something into the laptop) 😂
@@vikrraal alienware laptop with aga port plus the alienware graphics amplifier (aga) and of course a gpu under 460w max load tdp, I amd 5000 series, to amd 7900xt and nvidia gtx series to 3080. (non oc cards) and 40 series will be 4060 and 4060ti 4070 and I think 4080. All have to be non oc cards and, if u want powerful cads u beet to change the psu of the alienware graphics amplifier, stock is 460w, you can get an sfx 850w gold or better for future proof, then ain't nothing stopping u from running a 7900xtx or a 3090. But bare in mind ur gonna be bottlenecked by ur cpu if its a laptop cpu (mine is a desktop 10900k) also u gonna get 4 lanes of pcie 3.0 zi is like 30 fps loss average in most games, sometimes even more
Should work it has a seal for 15.3 inch laptops, but that's not the seal size seal size is smaller, so I think it will work, use the small seal. Provided as an extra in the bad and as long as it has bottom intakes ur laptop should do good. Again I won't promise, but I think it will. Work.
This cooling pad doesn’t work with acer predator helios 16 instead it blocks fans partially and increase’s the temps. In my testing when using laptop stand and playing games my temps on CPU were 75C-81C and on GPU were 71C-78C but after using Klim mistral cooling pad my cpu temps were always 85C+ and Gpu temps were 82C constant and fps boost only 1-2 fps(fps boost is not the concern temps are)
În order for this to work your laptop needs to have intake vents at the bottom any laptop that has intake vents at the bottom will work with this, all dell's all alienware, Asus, razer etc. I don't get how a cooler will increase ur laptop temps. Maybe ur not using it right, you have to use the other seal if ur laptop is less than 17 inch
@@pahadiasd5992 my laptop has a desktop 10900k full 150w overclocked. And it's never thermal throttled when using this cooler also has a 200w 2080 super. Idk about you but my temps are pretty damn good for the specs I have, depends of the day as well for example in a colder day with the cooler I see a 12 degree difference, ur laptop might have crap cooling from factory tbh, acer is like mid teir stuff, that's not an excuse for them to make crap cooling design but worth considering.
@@techroomuk I talked with KLIM support they were very helpful and said i return the product an they themselves will bo testing with predator helios 16 as to why it's not working that efficiently on this laptop. Even my friend who has Predator helios 300 2022 model said his temps got reduced by 4C-5C when gaming in ambient temps around 26C. I got somewhat better results with laptop in elevated position (stand) .So will think of trying some other cooling pad
It's acceptable, but that depends on each person, for me Al level 3 is not as loud as the laptop full speed fans. Again depends on each person taste, but in terms of cooling it actually does something.
my opinion, taking power from the outlet is better than using my laptop battery, even if the laptop is plugged in, just plug it into any USB charger brick. Is way better. Unless u really want to use that extra port on the back of the cooler as a usb 2.0 which sucks anyway
Thank you for the rapid response, much appreciated. Can you elaborate on why that's better? I was also looking at the IETS GT500, but I don't like that it has a separate charging cord you have to plug in. Is this safe to use plugged into my laptop as long as the laptop is plugged in? I have a Legion 5 pro and even with a hefty battery it's not really usable for more than 45-60 minutes on battery power anyway. @@techroomuk
@@michaelmoss3383 make sure u drop a like and a subs if u want ha. As I said you could do it, but I won't stress my expensive laptop over a 50 quid laptop stand for power, just get a cheap usb charger mate or plug it somewhere else rather than ur laptop, u might not notice it now but at some point u might have issues either with performance, or battery or the laptops usb port. I honestly won't risk it. I had all sorts of laptop coolers with fans and blowers, they didn't do anything, this one it keeps the temps at a bay, my laptop has a desktop 10900k 150w cpu. Never been over 80 degrees overclockers to 5.2ghz all core. So it really depends on ur laptops cooler as well, I say keep ur laptop fans at 30 40 or 50 procent and keep the cooler at level 1. It works for me, I mean better than having full speed I rather combine them, there are some days the laptop fans don't even start spinning just the cooler on level one is enough
Pretty much yes, watch the video, you will get all the answers there, what ur laptop needs to have for it to work, etc. Thanks, don't forget to drop a like.
@@techroomuk I mean isnt there any power rating of it my mobile chargers are like 70W, 120W can i just use any wont it damage it? Laptop output is too weak, mobile bricks feel too powerful
@@alokpunjsharma exactly my point, if you watch the video completely you will know 2hat I recommend using instead of the laptop port, my laptop pulls 380w because it's got a desktop cpu but still
I bought this, it's junk. Firstly it always has to be on because it's sealed so your laptop will overheat if it's off. Second it's loud AF even on the slowest setting. Third, it doesn't really seem to help temps or perf.
