Hope I will see wildlife but that isn't likely since most game don't like to be around wolves. Good way to learn some survival skills. Could see a black bear. Fish and Game says most grizzlies are farther north, but I have bear spray and maybe a little more. I don't worry about two-legged critters where I go. People like to think that if things got bad they would go into the back country and live off the land. People who think that way won't last long. By the time I go I should have the sensor lights on my driveway along with more T-posts driven in the ground to keep any onlookers from going where they shouldn't. But in my county people are very careful which private roads they go down. I have no idea who the enemy might be if we ever had a civil war, so I'm probably pretty safe where I live.

Buddy I can't agree at all. We are practically in a civil war right now and how many on the right are going after the people who are in power? The left controls everything we do today from schools to what you can say on you tube. All those guys have the FBI the ATF the secret service and also control the military. Why do you suppose those border agents let the illegals in? Why do they cut the wire,? If those guys in the military are told to do something they do it. Are you going to harm your neighbor who happens to be ATF? No, just like Germany, where the people went right along with the Nazis, you will be singled out one by one and put in jail. Look at those folks who demonstrated in favor of a rigged election, they are serving time. We will all just go along or go to jail.
I specifically remember when Anttifa had their little CHAZ zone in seattle blocking off Emergency services and created their own little "city". They ran out of food in a month and started sending out twitter dms asking random people to "Donate whatever they could and bring medical supplies" 😂

One thing I want to correct Buddy about though, is that if this shituation actually happens, and in the unlikely condition that the US Fed & Milit don't step in against the "Reds", "Blue" cities and counties will not be "over" in 72 hours, for the reasons he said. Mainly because they can always have supplies flown in to them by the metric tons OR sent to them via railroads from port cities who receive IMPORT supplies, like a few big ones on the West Coast.

@@MR-backup While some of what you say is true the people in the city will be its downfall, if civil war breaks out they are all going to be looting and raiding every store. More products are not going to be shipped to those stores in the midst of a national level riot. Control of the streets will fall to rival gangs after the police leave. If you read the book 1 second after it describes a diaspora from the major cities as people leave looking for food and safety. After the start the major cities will be homeless, illegal alien war zones.

We are a republic, not a democracy. I lived and worked in LA for 24 years. A year ago I got the hell outta there. Now I live in Texas and am avowed free thinking independent. On the wall in my office are full sized, framed replicas of the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the Bill Of Rights. Long Live Red.
The table isn't large enough for what some of us can bring. IE prior active duty combat veterans, will bring it all and then some. We're not 9 meals away. We're 3 meals away. As a trucker if war breaks out here I'm not delivering freight, I'm home or trying to get home to defend my family, which is more like my buddies because I don't have much family left. And I am willing to die for em if it means they get to live.
I'm descended from a confederate soldier from North Carolina's 53rd infantry not a whole hell of a lot has changed in my family's ability to live off the land since he was the head of the family i bring that with me.
I have years of plumbing, electrical, and firearms experience. I have plastic welding experience tools and materials. I have plumbers putty I have ball bearings and 5 gallon buckets of various nuts and bolts. I have powder I have a good bit of wires and batteries and switches I have a supply of galvanized pipe in various sizes. I mean not that I have thought about it but I might be able to put a little something together to help in a pinch.

I can grow crops and if I do it in a war, I'll get shot. I can hunt but there will be thousand also trying to hunt in my area and the game will be gone in a couple weeks. I can fish and my region is known for its fishing, but I ain't gonna walk 10 miles to get a fish. I can make herbal medicines like most people in my area who are like minded and I live 5 driving hours from the nearest interstate. So I will live mostly on what I have stored. A war ain't gonna be a cake-walk!
@@user-sk7zc1fc5u To your first point: Not necessarily. The war isn't going to be "hot" at all times and everywhere in the country. Rural areas are culturally homogenous and will likely be far removed from the chaos. Also, growing crops and foods doesn't have to be as obvious as a field full of corn. Hell, you can grow food in a small backyard in the country and have lots of food to supplement your supply. To your second and third point: Not necessarily, but you do bring up a good point. If the food supply dwindles, people will obviously flout hunting and fishing laws and harvest what they can. That being said, there'll still be plenty of game in many areas for a while after the initial outbreak of a civil war. It's not like all the deer, fish, squirrels, rabbits, elk, etc. are going to be harvested in the first month after a civil war.
@@posthawk1393 Well, maybe where you live there's lots of game. I live in the foothills of the northern Rockies. In my younger days around 60, I used to day- pack a lot in the back country. After 20 some years of that I saw a moose once with a calf and scared me with my 9mm. Didn't do that again. On the edge the National Forest, I saw a big gray wolf while I was in my car. I saw one elk about a hundred yards inside NF, one year I saw a black bear near my driveway. Now I have walked alone 7--10 miles beyond the trailhead and that was all the game I saw. 3 years ago I saw 2 cougars walking up my driveway, while I was on my tractor. I carried a .22 after that. Now, Ive seen as many as a hundred elk at a time and a mile from my home I stopped on a road and counted over 40 elk pass in front of me, but these were sightings not far from homes. I've never seen a deer in the back country and I live 30 miles from the largest wilderness area outside of Alaska. Deer don't like wolves. I see deer every day within 20 feet from my front door and drivers have to be mighty careful at dusk or dawn. I don't shoot deer anymore, but I'm ready if I need to. One shot means someone probably shot a deer in or out of season. More than one shot mean practicing. If the grid was down and unless the bright sun could dry your meat, you'll take what you can process. You don't need to hang a deer. That advice coming from my dad who was probably the best poacher in our county when I was growing up. If you poach, you don't hang. People around here don't think game will last any more than a few weeks, but there will be lots of folks trying to find animals. Newbies from small cities will try in our area and many will die because of the rough terrain. If no grid, then no irrigating gardens. Our rainfall at 30 inches a year is higher than most places in our state. Having a garden seems to me like a real good way to be shot by mean hungry refugees. You can't live completely off a garden, because in most places you can't raise grain and if you raise a cow or horse someone could shoot it for food. For food all you need to store is grain, beans, brown rice for a while, sugar or honey, salt, and powdered milk, plus as much canned meat you can buy at Costco. People in my area never talk about a coming war. I disagree in our local paper about the white Christian nationalists moving in, but nothing on a civil war. Most folks seem to want to be left alone. I think people's concerns are a lot different in the West than in the east and the South. I don't open carry and don't see anyone who does. I don't even conceal. Keep a pocket pistol in my car if I go to town. Never carry into a grocery store.
Just over 3 years ago all we were talking about is several new Middle East Peace treaties and how peaceful the world was with our secure border. Somehow the media convinced certain voters to trade 'mean tweets' for 3 wars and a border invasion... I don't get it?
I pray that we never see a “civil” war here. 150 years ago was bad enough. Today it would be house to house with no boundaries, no demarcation. Just chaos and death. That is not something I look forward to.

That map of Wisconsin is pure fantasy. People always get Wisconsin wrong with politics. We are pure red. The only blue is Madison, Milwaukee, and the rest of the blue is pure manipulation of the voting.
Most "blue states" fall into that category. Colorado was a great RED state, we starting slowly turning blue about the same time they forced MASS mail-in voting throughout. I'm pretty sure Trump won Colorado and a lot of other states who do mail-in voting.

Started helping Dad handload when I was 7. 54 years and counting. I do most of my own gunsmithing. Can do just about any farming or construction job. I also know my way around a kitchen.
