Reckless driving in the world of cars would effectively be equivalent to dangerous parkour in our world

Actually Chick intentionally caused a wreck twice. That’s reckless endangerment not to mention reckless driving. He also gets assault charges because he intentionally hit those cars to cause them to spin out and cause the wreck. Finally he’d be liable for King’s repair/medical bills as he was directly responsible for his injuries.

Cars is such a bonkers franchise, we go from a slice of life story about a big city boy learning to slow down and enjoy life to an action spy thriller, really shows they had nothing to do with this franchise after the first one

Fun fact, in NASCAR what Chick Hicks did is considered bumping which if proven to have been intentional can land him in hot water with the sporting organization, and the final act he did could actually be considered ramming, which is a bannable offence. So while Chick Hicks didn't commit any legal crimes, he did break many sporting rules. Storm also did a ramming offence to Cruz as well, which also would have gotten him banned from the sport.

I cannot believe Chick Hicks wouldn’t face any punishment for his conduct during his races. Every single race, he bumps someone and sends them into a wreck, and with the Cars universe that’s not just damage to a car with a driver surviving inside, that’s damage to a Car’s whole body, risking their lives. The fact that The King had to be pushed across the finish line in that last race is basically telling us if he were a person, his arms and legs would be broken, he was unable to move on his own and that race put him into retirement. There’s gotta be some kind of punishment for that.

That last one Hicks did that intentionally which is an illegal move which would lead to either a hefty fine or a life ban from racing.

I know it's a manga and not an animated cartoon, but it's very much a slapstick comic, and at the end of the day, it's still a cartoon! Klonoa in that manga is very different from how he is in the games, and even in the other mangas too.
