In our ongoing "If they were churches" series, we celebrate MOTHER'S DAY with one of the greatest movie moms of all time: FORREST GUMP'S MAMA! #cwac #forrestgump #church
He was just another Hollywood normie until this role. In preparing for it, he learned so much about the military he ended up becoming one of the biggest allies veterans have ever had.
“Well I’ll tell you what, Gilligan, the day you become a shrimp boat captain? I will come and be your first mate. If you become a shrimp boat captain, that’s the day I’m an astronaut!” - the Apostle Paul
Church Sound Man is gratingly accurate. That's our church! "Oh the music is doing so well. The audio seems to be on the level let me adjust theeeese knobs."😄
Easy, I've been thrust into that role a few times. Maybe it's because I picked it up in more heathen settings, but I'll confess to wanting to sit by the sound guy and slap his hand anytime he went to touch a knob. That being said, I couldn't figure out how to work the CD player attached to our system recently. I was like, I never had one this fancy. A delay and apology from the nest ensued...
As a Southern Baptist I approve of this shrimp pot luck menu! The only one he forgot was Sister Bertha Better than You's mystery shrimp casserole! Hilarious video.
Lt Dan: Are you twins? Presbyterian and Reformed Baptist: No, we are not related. Lt Dan and every living human being that isn’t a Presbyterian or Reformed Baptist: Yes you are, you just won’t admit it.
@@threecards333 so one waste time and gives people false hope and fake security; and the other waits until one can consciously understand salvation and confess that they believe Jesus is the Son of God that died and resurrected for redemption of their sins. That’s a pretty distinct and serious doctrinal difference.
@Rood67 Wow. You really need to watch the bow tie dialogs. And, maybe read the Westminster Confessions and catechisms, as well as the London Baptist Confessions. Plus, stop strawmanning our Christian brothers and sisters. Build a loving relationship that seeks rapprochement and peace through wisdom. A good place to start is here on Your Calvinist.
If WWE Wrestlers were reformers, wouldn't Martin Luther be Stone Cold Steve Austin? I've been reading through Bondage Of The Will and that man could hurl an insult!
Well and the whole giving McMahon (the Pope) the double bird and stunning him would be perfect. "And that's the bottom line...because Scripture says so!"
I love these so much. I rarely watch movies since I've been a Christian and I don't really watch any tv show except occasionally re runs of psych. But these are better than the movies themselves. I did watch the latest Wonka movie 🍿 and I think you need to do an updated version of your wonka one or even one for that movie alone.
I completely lost it at the Jehovah's Witness!!! That's funny, right there. I don't care who you are! I am glad that you recognize how awesome the Southern Baptist Pot Lucks are, though! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This may be the best one, possibly because it includes we oft overlooked (by everybody) Freewill Baptists. If you had included Cumberland Presbyterians (my wife's childhood denomination), I might've done fell out. The only thing is I don't recall ever having shrimp at a Southern Baptist potluck growing up. I did throw some in to a Cajun influenced dish I made recently for one of the many potlucks we have.
Hey! The Open Theists made it onto the channel! Oh boy, I smell the heresy-fest incoming . . . Would you be willing to do an interview with an Open Theist? I love your dialogues with other churches, and I'd love to see you interact with these guys.
Something like Potluck our Baptist in Europe don't know, we're at least happy that one Baptist don't follow the Scofield Study Bible or John Nelson Darby's heresy.
They believe that the Jesus and the Israelites were actually black and that all black people are descendants of Israel. It’s pretty wacky, especially with their beliefs regarding Jews and white people.
Well - I wanted to be sarcastic and a little bit funny, but his video shows what happens if you try hard and have no talent. I belong to neither of this denominations and clearly there's a lot to talk about or criticize. But when did Jesus ever mock someone?
