They can animate sword swings , but can't animate a simple walking animation. I think the dev used most of his mom's money on the secretly expensive dragon model.
you need a ‘tearjerker personal backstory that’s actually an incredibly mundane experience’ to really sell it… something like “when I realized my mission in life was to create the most incredible & immersive gaming experience ever promised, my dad told me I had three months to move out, so I’m really counting on this pledge drive to work out [feigning like you _might_ cry, etc.]…”
Wow, yeah that must be the inspiration for this video since not only is the name similar but apparently Elyria's kickstarter even had a "King/Queen" pledge level of $10,000.
The only physical I got is from Mighty No. 9. I'm actually ignorant on the controversy. But the game being delayed many times, I lost interest that I still haven't touch it since release. And the physical reward...I kinda lost it (except for the shirt which doesn't fit anymore). It's in the house somewhere.
I can't wait for the discord (which is tightly moderated) to be announced by the devs! (with a faq page which answers nothing) a channel for updates (which is a whole lot of nothing), and to be banned when I press a little too hard into how the game is developing!
Honesty the only kickstarters I’m interested in is the board games ones that are being created by companies that have already had some level of success
What if instead of trying to make a singleplayer game with 2nd person perspective you tried to make a 2nd person perspective 2 player co-op game in which the 1st player controls his own character but sees everything from the 2nd player's character and the 2nd player controls his own character but sees everything from the 1st player's character.
I can't give you all the money in my bank account because I'm starting my own kickstarter (used arts and crafts business for artists struggling to finish their works because they don't want to buy new supplies to finish their nearly complete projects) so I guess I'll just subscribe.
There are some crowdfunded games that did make their promises. A short list: Outer Wilds, Undertale, Hyperlight Drifter, Blasphemous, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Hollow Knight, Superhot, Darkest Dungeon, and a ton more! It's a shame there are scam artists that take advantage because indies still need crowdfunding
@StarlightSkyes very true; thing is though, it seems over the years, the scammers on kickstarter - and possibly other platforms - has risen, at least that's how it seems to me; in other words, it's always been an issue, but seems to be getting worse. also, kickstarter IMO is a dinosaur, poised to die, due to deso, defi - wait, desofi?
Now sponsor every member in Faze, and also maybe, idk, SSniperwolf, to make it complete. Oh be sure you give SSniper a thin swim suit, for maximum profit.
Thank you, that was spot on right to the last detail... and unfortunately I'm talking out of hands on experience with KS-Projects some years ago... Dear viewers - let that be a warning to you, while accurate, the video is not at all joking about the mechanics of KS - this is simply true for far too many projects on KS & Co.
Hi Kickstarter Team. Would you possibly be able to add a higher tier in the 50-100k range? My fingers are tired from clicking and buying the 10k tier over and over again on different accounts.
