Live at London's free-thinking comedy club comedyunleashed.co.uk/whatson Nick Dixon interviews Andrew Doyle on his podcast: • Andrew Doyle on Comedy...
You said it liberty. It may be on the back foot now but once real people wake up properly and stop swallowing shit from me too minorities it's gona be mainstream
@@100celt9 Do you ever think about how the germans felt in the 30's Sure they went mental, but if the far left does this to a country I understand Germany I get it now It is worth risking everything to get rid of communism
@@nick_dixon one of my favorite jokes of yours was the height comparison joke on horseback, and the "late by 86 seconds, I feel physically sick", "rushing home to do absolutely nothing." You killed it man!
@@nick_dixon Anytime Nick! Best of luck to you, and keep perfecting your craft. Stand up is truly an art, and you've got the brush. We've got your back
@@jeffbrown4708 Thanks Jeff, I do feel like Van Gogh sometimes, an unappreciated genius. I would rather be one of those modern artists who gets rich by conning even richer people.
I had never heard of this bloke until this was algorithm recommended and how I laughed! It’s the first time I’d laughed since I contracted the coronavirus. Well you gotta start somewhere. I see there are tickets for sale so I’m going to go and see him live. Before I die. In about a week. But I am 72 years old in two weeks so I’ve had a good innings. It’s not as if I was still a young man, like 70. PS: subscribed! Mind you, at my age, and I really am 72 in two weeks time, so I can watch one set over and over again without getting bored. Because I’d forgotten it. Thanks Nick! Is that your real name, it sounds foreign.
Outstanding, fast paced, witty, neatly blends classic themes with current social commentary. A little gervaish, but that's a complement, I suppose. Great set, Dick Nixon.
@@nick_dixon no worries, seems like you're gonna make it, don't quote me if you fsck it up tho. Gervais probably had the unfair advantage of being born earlier, I'm looking forward to you surpassing him, cos I dig the style. Also, I've seen your podcast with Titania, I liked it a lot, you seem like a natural host - definitely keep doing that. Cheers.
For sure, excellent material, enjoyed it. Thanks mate. One thing, consider playing with silence a bit after your punchlines vs filling all silence. I think it would make the delivery even better.
@@andrewhyogo comedy is where u meant to click is it then.. And.. FYI.. Grammatically speaking, though I've never understood why, his phrasing was correct lol.. Now cheer up matey 😜
I usually have to go to old videos of Carlin or Chapelle to get laughs powerful enough to bring me to tears or slap my knee. Very rare to find something new on that level. Great set! Keep at it!!
You might appreciate digging into Patrice O'Neal's material. There are a few shows floating on youtube and hours of cuts from opie and anthony as well as his black phillip shows. Doug Stanhope is well worth a detour also. Peace
Very relatable, I too had a woman ask me my height, explaining that she liked to wear high heels and didn't want to date a man who'd look shorter than her. Wish I'd have thought of the horse thing, I just told her that I was 5ft 6, but it'd be fine because I liked to wear high heels too. One of many ghostings.
This bloke is great. First time I’ve heard him. Different style of quick punchlines. I’ve now come to expect this from this club night. Probably will never see these people as I live in the other side of the world. Whoever puts this on, you are much appreciated.
First time I have seen Nick Dixon. Definitely will be looking out for more stuff of his. Sharp punchlines, very funny, with great story building for the joke. I really enjoyed this.
the entering a tennant gag was priceless, awesome set Nick shame TV comedy won't touch anything contentious or you'd be a household name... p.s. don't water your material down to fit in
Bloody brilliant - comedy unleashed is ON FIRE right now - another great new set of comedy and who would've thunk it in this day in age. Common sense and good laughs will prevail in the end! Thank you Nick Dixon for a thoroughly enjoyable 20mins. Hopefully we see many more mins from him in the future
If she is from the UK chances are she will be fat anyway and probably have tattoos and blue or purple hair, I remember when I was a kid my dad used to take me to the circus to see the fat tattooed lady... Now they are everywhere
@@WolfCourtaud Beyond sarcasm. Interesting...... So you dislike Women with green & purple hair, piercings, tattoos, & attitude. Tattoos don't erase so easily. Circus. What possessed these Creatures of Instinct ???
This is so refreshingly brilliant. I love unleashed, raw comedy. Freedom to explore ideas as long as it's funny. Nick you killed it mate seriously now I need to take a trip to London to go to this!
Looked up Nick Dixon after seeing him on Podcast of the Lotus Eaters. He’s funny! 😆. The joke about the shower turning into a bath - just wanted to sit down! Hahahaha!
I'm getting a good laugh out of this. Having fun and enjoying a laugh is the absolutely best way to utterly infuriate authoritarian identitarian scolds.
I’ve watched this dozens of times, and will watch it many more times. Absolute comedy gold. He should be a household name in comedy. I hope he goes back to it one day. I love watching him on GB News, but I really miss his stand up stuff. God Bless You, Nick 🙏
Love Nick Dixon, so funny. Great channel , would love to see some of these comedians, send them to Rugby!! Only 40 mins by train from London . I would be lost in London now after being away for 19 years, was my favourite place as a teenager
Good one Nick Dixon, first time I have seen you, but I knew you'd be great, 'cause Comedy Unleashed. haha, but they have a pretty good record as far I can see. Hope to see some more of you. Will check out your podcast
Thanks Scott! Yeah it's always a great night. Just started the podcast but the first episode was good, more for Andrew than me. I've watched it twice myself!
Yeah, I was thinking about doing stand up... then I see people like this and it reminds me of back when I wanted to ride dirt-bikes and I watched Travis Pastrana do a double back flip. Needless to say I did not take out the loan for a new Yamaha, and nor did my jokes leave the toilet where I was writing them.
@@nick_dixon I was referring to the jokes, the style, the gestures, the persona, the timing etc. Funny stuff (some very clever jokes in there), but all overshadowed by the ghost of Ricky Gervais.
