I love this it’s sooo funny but I need some advice! I’m working with a young very very skittish kind mare she is amazing and very sweet but very very skittish every time I move she reacts and she is always tensing up. She has a wonderful kind sweet personality but has little to no training and I lover her she is the first horse I ever worked with and she’s not very challenging but she is very skiddish and she is a bit big around the belly so we can’t feed her treats. Around me she’s really good and I can brush her everywhere and pet her face and so on and so fourth. But around the man that is her owner (very kind but little to no horse experience but has started working with her daily) yet still very scared of him and sometimes me. Today I dropped my brush and I went to pick it up not thinking and I may have got up to fast or went down to slow and she did the little spook ( really just tensed up and kinda jumped like if I were to walk up to you and tap you on the back) and was fine after 3 minutes of me just petting her she finally released all of that tenseness and licked and chewed( which whenever she dose this is wait till she shows that she’s relaxed and ready) she can pick up all 4 feet and back up and walk forward very well but she’s sensitive and I need to work with her on that but sense she’s so young I’m also trying to train her at the same time so if someone could give me some good things to do with her that would be much appreciated! I walk her around and groom her daily and today I worked on her standing still but sense she’s so young ( 2 years old) I don’t want her doing to much things but I also want her to be experienced and educated other stuff so what should I be doing with her?
