Hey everyone!! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and start to the new year, I haven't been able to record anything because my recording program,. Adobe Audition 3.0, had a runtime error and it just went completely dumb... but, I now have Adobe Audition 5.5, so that's much better! :D
I usually don't record with dub readies made by people but MrPhaeThorn is an exception, his dub readies are just fantastic in visual and audio quality and he has such an amazing voice! I couldn't resist doing this, just like I couldn't resist singing the pop version of Far Longer Than Forever with the dub ready he made a year or so ago (god, has it really been that long ago???? O_O 2010!!! • Far Longer Than Foreve... )
And here's his channel! / mrphaethorn He's a truly wonderful singer and talented video editor, and a lot of you dubbers might be in his Disney Singing Contest too :D Him and his girlfriend Priscilla are really wonderful and talented!
Also, my WATERMARK! GRRRR! For some reason Sony Vegas doesn't really let me get it to the very edge, which I find really annoying and don't really know what to do about it... ffffff ah well X_x and also, sorry about Nakoma's line being a little off, but I can't keep going back and rendering the vid it takes too long... I've been doing it all evening guh D:

This truly is one of the single most romantic and heartbreaking melodies of all time in my opinion... I can feel the tears coming whenever I hear those first strings that come in at the beginning of this scene... guuhhhhh T_T

Elsie it is indeed one of Alan's best songs, and one of the most passionate and romantic songs ever written for a musical. I must say Elsie, from the moment you started to sing I got chills. Not only your vocals were perfect, but the emotion and the acting was heartbreaking too. You almost made me cry. Beautiful beautiful work Elsie, one of your best recordings ever.

This is simply sublime! In the original soundtrack, I didn't really like how the singer for John Smith seemed to stop at almost every line (almost like a staccato), and lacked the flow that this cover singer has. The voice went so well with the music and video that I must say that I like it better than the original. And, the voice for Pocahontas is spot on! I would really like to see you guys singing it than just watching the dubbed video. It's amazing.

This, this is way the film wasn't as more successful than it should have been, we were robbed of this from 1995 and only in 2005, ten years later we finally got it but Disney+ didn't carry this over, the film feels incomplete without it and the reprise in the end. I personally believe Menken to this day, regrets removing it, and even Eric Goldberg couldn't believe that they did. I'm not saying it would have leveled the lion king by any means, but critics wouldn't have been that hard, and lets face it, historians and native groups would still have issues with it. This film does not deserve the hate it gets. As for this cover, it pains me that people only cover the pop version but never the film version, not that pop version is bad by any means, its great. This cover made me cry, and the film's ending will always make me cry. Thank you Elsie, but I do hope you cover savages down the line, that song doesn't deserve the hate it gets and how anybody missed the point of it is beyond crazy.

I think it is very impressive that you could actually sing it. If I try to sing it, I just break down to tears. I always cry at this scene (well, this full scene is not in my version of the film, though I have seen this scene on youtube before) and at the very end. it is just so sad and beautiful and it's even worse if you think of the *cough*sequel*cough*! No I rather not think about that! This was so beautiful! I'm just so teary now, I need to go and whipe my eyes now...Excuse me...
