My mom adores Rich Mullins, more than any other musical artist I feel, so I grew up with his music. I grew up and came to adore Adam Young as one of my very favorite musical artists - and it's so cool to see them merged like this. :D My past and present in one humble and inspirational song of faith!!
I remember listening to Rich Mullins as a youth, this song is so great. With the U.S. in such turmoil right now, it's just insane. This song is so POWERFUL! The words spot on. This young man's version is awesome too. If I'm standing or kneeling it's for God. My allegiance is to the King of Kings, Jesus (Yeshua). For the glory of Gods kingdom (Yahweh).

Love Love this. Adam is such an amazing person. He is one of the few people that can handle the fame and continue to stand for what he believes in. I think that is just so awesome.
An amazing remake of a classic church song. Absolutly wonderful! The harmony is incredible! Rich Mullins would be proud! I would add though toward the end deep bass voices in the background like the original had.

Rich would talk in concert and interviews about how his favorite thing about the Bible was all the weirdos that God used. Rich was certainly a weirdo, and Adam is as well. I wish I was a weirdo.
Having heard this song all during my childhood, and then hearing "Fireflies" all over the radio during my mid-teen years, hearing Adam Young sing "If I Stand" now puts a massive smile on my face. Welcome to the fold, Adam. So glad you found the true source of your wonderful gift of music. May it bear up many more songs as you walk in the Way.
You did a wonderful job with this. I love how you started it out with stripped down instruments and the way you individually sang it came through, and then you started adding your own instrumentation later.
Rich Mullins wrote this particular song. He wrote a lot of great songs (He wrote Awesome God and I don't even think it's one of his best) and I was very happy to see that Adam had covered it because he's one of my favorite artists as well :)
Something I noticed is that you can hear owl city's playing style change in his songs. for example this one uses a violin at 1:59 which was also heard in I Found Love one of his songs from 2015. same goes for his other music like 2009 has electric sound 2010 more uses of synth I think then 2018 with beats and electric
I want to say that all the these covers by Rich Mullins make me believe that he knew God;s plan would produce much great fruit like he promised Abraham and the many stars! Great Cover!

I still womder how many secret covers this man has made which I am not aware of cause these covers are not so popular and when I come across these in RU-vid I kinda feel stupid for not knowing them even after being a die heart fan of Owlcity for years
Many of his unreleased songs and covers were not secrets. They were on his official blog or soundcloud page until December 2015. But he deleted them for Adam Young Scores. I guess it's because unreleased songs were used for AYS.
