When a new potential client says "I have someone who will provide service for less." Answer - No problem, "I have someone who will pay more". Drop mic.
Dude.. I just spent $250 on a new truck battery.. I think about it the same way like ima have to mow a client for free for a month because of a stupid battery that 3 years ago was $100 I think that's where the frustration comes from.. is things used to be cheaper, and far cheaper at that. We keep grinding though for the dream
All of my mowers are working perfect. We are struggling with putting mowers on the grass and not sinking or sliding. The only reason the mowers are working, this was the new mower purchase year. I have been in your position many times. I have a complete backup, truck trailer mowers etc, for every three crews and still we find ourselves short of equipment.
I feel like the struggle bus fills up fast in the spring but owners like you, me, and several other guys in the industry are able to push thru these hurdles by being on top of your numbers, having a strong work ethic, and planning for the future your off the struggle bus and in the grove by early summer. Video like this help other a lot by showing the struggles and not just being like everything is sunshine and rainbows. Keep grinding. Jon
I had a slit in my brand, new tire and I put that liquid rubber on it , I let it dry for 24 hours. and it hasn’t leaked since. I hope y’all get everything worked out so he can get back to making that money.
Laugh through the pain, accept what comes, find joy in the struggle. Amor a Fati - love thy fate. Get after it. You'll never fail if you never quit. Nothing stops this train 🚂
I started implementing a 45 dollar minimum. I dont care if its a 10' by 10' square of turf.....my minimum is 45 period end of story. This is a tough industry.....here in West Texas it gets HOT in summer too....we are talking 105-110 sometimes. The struggle is real. I did go finance a new mower this year...picked up a Ferris Z1 to get more efficient. IM struggling with some equipment issues myself. And on the days off from mowing what do we get to do?? Work on equipment....yay....UGGGG
Losing customers every time it rains and they don’t understand why you not there instantaneously as soon as the sun comes out. I mean if I could mow all my lawn in one day I would 😅 26 yrs in the business
