If Shakespearean Insults Were Used Today - Anglophenia Ep 13 

The question isn't "Why does she carry a sword?" The question is, "Why don't YOU?"

We once had an English lesson just learning Shakespearean insults. _"Totally valuable education."_

“Thou art unfit for any place but hell.” hahaha that applies to someone I unfortunately know

"Villain, I have done thy mother!" (Titus Andronicus), will probably be my favourite Shakespeare quote for a long time in the future.

This is without a doubt my new favorite RU-vid channel. Great job, very clever.

Okay, that was rather genius. Also I appreciate that at least one American was featured as being smart enough to actually understand the Shakespearean insult and be hurt by it (^^)

After studying Shakespeare, I can honestly say my favorite is: Thou saucy fellow.

I got a hunch that Siobhan read Shakespeare as a kid and she learned how to insult jerks and/or idiots in her school without swearing.

My friend and I love theater, and Shakespeare. When we were in middle school, we decided to come up with a greeting... We would come up to each other pretending to be mad, and use all kinds of these type of insults together in some random order, and we would always laugh at the little crowds we would gather at school or town as we were quiet and emotional. We would get so close and nearly yell, and ten... Hug and ask how our day has been. The looks on everyone's faces were always priceless! It always made our day to do it no matter how hard or tedious.

This is so funny that i actually enjoyed it. Go Anglophenia .

Back over 20 years ago at the hospital, I had Shakespeare Insults magnets. You'd pick the words you wanted, and I'd put up a new insult or two on my bud's locker before every shift.
