I have a question my brother got deported they took he’s resident card that he got thrue my mom ,but they took he’s resident card and deported him ,they ask him if any of he’s parents we U.S citizens my mom became a citizen when he turn 19 and my dad was trying to fix he’s papers thrue my mom cause he thought he was illegal until I started reading and checking the imigration laws and my grandma on my dads side is born in the U.S she lived in Michigan until she was 15 then went to Mexico but comes and goes to the U.S and Mexico my brother told the ice agents that my grandma is a U.S citizen but told him she wasn’t he’s legal guardian ,but I just checked that thrue my grandma my dad should be a U.S citizen from birth ,the lawyers that he got to try to aply for legal status never said anything to him about my grandma being a citizen and him being one too they just kept asking for more money and never did anything for him ,so how can my brother come back to the U.S since technically my dad has been a citizen from birth correct and we have been living in the U.S since we were kids and my dad along with my mom was our legal guardian so that should make my brother a citizen too right ,how can he go about it to come back to the U.S he has been thrue so much overthere and it’s not right that ice didn’t mention anything about my dad being a citizen since they know the laws better then us ,since they saw him that he didn’t know the laws they told him he had no action and deported him knowing my grandma is a U.S citizen ,can you please help me how to go about it and what do we need to bring him back or atleast so he can fight he’s case but to allow him to be here ,he has given up hope they destroyed he’s life he lost everything he had lost two babys from he’s lady stressing so much about him being overthere alone then lost her cause it became too much for her ,I hope I can get an answer from you it will meen so much to get an answer thank you.

You need to have your grandmother file for your dad and through your dad your brother can get his status fixed and possibly returned if he meets the requirements such as he didn’t get convicted of some heinous crime. Have your grandmother file immediately - application is only a few hundred dollars and your dad should get it faster because your grandmother is a citizen. Always best to consult a lawyer but these answers are on the governments website. Just get someone to file the application for you

Hello Brad...I filed for an immigrant visa through my son who is now an American citizen and I have an appointment at the US consulate here in Lagos Nigeria in November 2022. I was previously living I the US illegally and got deported in 2004. My deportation was subject to 10 years and I will be able to pay to come back. My question now is that I did not file for a waiver ( cos I didn't know I needed to) and I'm wondering can this affect my visa interview negatively.

No that’s not. There are people who have been let in for more crimes. Your son has to be 21 to apply for you. You will get rejected but you can file for a waiver and continue with the process. Get a lawyer. I hate seeing these videos with people giving others false hope
