As sad as it is, Kittens Death is a horribly fitting way for the series to end... For many TTS and Kitten was the soul of Warhammer 40k RIP our glorious Golden Banana Boy
For everyone that does not now: Alpha has writen out the rest of the Plot of this episode in the description of the Video. So we at least got closure to this Mars Plot line.
According to the description, the Custodes find the Proteus Protocol and use it first on Kitten. In the episode after that, we return to the emperor's throne room, followed by a fight with the Void Dragon in paradox billiards vostroyan roulette fourth dimensional hypercube chess strip poker.
@@wiccanthropy1956 The Outsider is only whole C'tan. He's probably not matching the nightbringer in terms of pure force, or deceiver is guile, but I'd say because he's combination of both force and cunningness + so much insanity that Chaos would want to be like he is, that he's top c'tan by a long shot
@@98TheSzymon oh! Thank you! I have to admit insanity took me over as I was reading the comment and thought oooh oooh ooh I wanna be like you ou ou, talk like you walk like you do doo dooo
I’d like to think what the machine spirit said was to tell off the emperor for his hubris, to think everything would go exactly in his favor as he had before. Just as the horus heresy was the result of the emperors failure as a parent, kitten dies and the last thing the emperor ever said to him before he left was “I just do not trust you”
@@chronoshield75 that makes sense because eldrad did say that the void dragon is starting to wake up and the binds containing it are weakened because the emperor hasn’t checked in on it for 10,000 years because he’s crippled. And I like to think that’s why the deceiver shard is on Mars to wake it up fully because it’s funny to him.
That last line hits so much harder when you realise the timing, he had to round it out unfortunately, it's genuinely upsetting listening to his explanation as to why it stopped as well, like I generally don't show much emotion beyond either apathetic contentment or blinding Khornate levels of rage, but that got to me towards the end. Honestly GW needs to realise that the only reason they've had this huge boost in their share price is because no-one had anything to do for over a year and these kinds of shows actually saved their business (cause it sure as hell wasn't the videogames), they would have died years ago if it wasn't for the content creators on here giving them arguably the best advertising, free or otherwise, that they could ever hope for, and for them to turn on them like some fucking grox ass inquisitors after being propped up by them for so long is utterly atrocious and beyond any discernable reason, I genuinely hope Warhammer+ sends them broke so the have to sell the IP, so someone who actually cares about the community (beyond how much they can extract from their bank account) can pick it up and fix this immeasurable error in judgement. Sorry kinda ranting at the end but the gaping void of logic and lack of reasonable business sense presented by GW is just shameful for a company that has existed for the better part of 40 years.
I mean I think saying they would have died years ago is overselling how important fan animations are by a fat chunk but yes there's definitely far more to gain from fan made media than there is to gain especially when its really well done and people even OUTSIDE 40k are into it and getting into 40k THROUGH it. They would still be just fine without it but they're missing out on lots of growth and good will that requires.....no effort on their part so its still undoubtedly hurting the brand doing this. Like you said free advertising is free advertising but so many companies these days are just hyper controlling of anything even slightly related to their products so yes the fan animations give them more money but they're worried about the fan side of things taking over too much and making it so they can't properly direct their franchise the way they like because it'll get buried in outside works. Its still stupid don't get me wrong but that's generally the reason for it. The smart thing to do is to just bring them into the fold a little and have some correspondence with the bigger more influential things like TTS and maybe give them some simple guidelines on things they do or don't want to see happen and maybe a lil funding along with it. Like how RvB ended up getting treated. It was beloved so they just formally made them part of the company. I don't think it needs to be taken that far but you can definitely give your blessing and support and steer outside media without just taking the lazy route of NO ALL PRIVILEGES ARE REVOKED BURN IT ALL DOWN. And that is what it is... too much uncertainty so they just take the easiest no nuance solution and apply that. At least it was only fan animations and not fanfic in general which is the BIGGEST bulk of fan made stuff by far but they might have not gone for that because it would be so insanely hard to content strike fanfics from EVERY fanfic site.
Thing is, they want to sell out. They know that as 3D printing becomes more and more accessible, thier business model of selling exorbitantly expensive plastic miniatures will soon be unviable. So, the best they can hope for is to dress up thier IP so it looks attractive to a larger entity like disney.
And thus the story ends. Damn you, GW! Damn you and your stupidly insane self-destructive greed! We are in a terrible timeline. It has been a fun ride. Thanks for the great work on making these more than just simple reaction videos. The editing and the work put into the top tier editing have been great. Seeing you get exciting and even taking part in creating content of your own has been great as well. Going from knowing nothing about WH40k to this point has let me relive my own experience some as well. I'm looking forward to what else you get into from here. Hopefully with so many creatives being expelled by GW going into Battletech, we might get some new Battletech fan content to react to in the future.
@@user-pj1ec5om5g "We're losing fans and players by the thousands, but we're making more money by milking those who stay, so who cares? Anyways, reduce the number of models and increase the price again. And release another Space Marines update."
@@benjamintherogue2421 That's why I don't buy my models from the Warhammer Stores. I only ever buy from small stores selling their products. It's a small protest but I don't want to give them 100% of anything of mine.
The problem with the tabletop is that the characters can be op in lore but then they can get instantly rekt in the game. Also, that ending just breaks my heart
"I want to address some things for those who want to know; This wasn't, and isn't, supposed to be the end..." ~ Bruva Alfabusa 1 month ago (edited) But that is how it be. This is the End. Best intentions are not actual outcomes. "In the grim darkness of the 42nd millennium, there can be no victor." ~ also Bruva Alphabusa Yes. The Far Future of the 42nd Millenium is Grim and Dark. In any moment that could be even remotely considered noble or bright ... whatever solace or joy you find is only allowed existence in order to shed light on just how much *GRIM and DARK* everything else is. Everything? EV-ER-Y-THING It is indeed a very black pill to swallow. Just. As. Planned.
I’m not so extremely worried about Kitten since Alpha cleared the Mars storyline up, in a pinned comment. But I want to know what happened to my boy Rogal. Is he alive, is he injured or did he die while stopping the Emperor’s warpstorm?
Primarchs have incredible regeneration, but with his body crushed and burned to that point, its very possible that hes either dead, or will not fully recover
Except if the story was supposed to continue with Kitten been revived via the Proteus Protocol, which as the Emperor told Magnus has unpleasant side-effects, that would be quote horrible for poor Kitten. I don't want him to become a "weirdo" slowly going insane.
I was actually enjoying that TTS episode went the fight started (while forgeting the series is going to end for a moment). The battle was intense, and my emotion when up & down as the fight go on. I honestly had high hope when Kitten & the Custodies were winning near the end ... until that destroyed Kastelan robot blow-up ... and took Kitten with it. For a moment i forgot this was the last TTS episode, even thought we all know this is not how Alfabusa & his team wanted. Men, this series is amazing. Although the damage GW did was already done, but ... i do hope TTS will returned one day, this story isn't truly over yet! I used to wait for years for one of my other favorite animation series returned & finally finished, i think i can wait again.
Every time a company kills a fan project, or a creative fan show is stopped for lack of funds. I feel broken. I hate that all the things that bring me joy have to die because of the cancerous greed of large corporations.
This is sad realy enjoyed watching this with you but did you by any chance skip" Russ plays a 'Small Baby Game' with the Dark Eldar - Vox-Logs" i heard that is absolutely hilarious- I just reliased in cannon dorn as an absolute master of the materium world has the passive ability to calm the warp around him in a way without the harmful effects of a pariah he really is a psychic support blanket
And so TTS ends on a bitter, poorly timed, but sadly fitting note. It was a good ride. I know Alfabusa said that it's on """"""hiatus""""", but I highly doubt the hit GW would suffer would get their legal team to change their mind. It was a fun ride.
I mean...how much of a hit they take is ENTIRELY in the hand of the fanbase. Saying it won't be a significant hit is kind of a doomer talking point that just ends up being self-fulfilling. Even if we don't think it'll be enough of a hit its better to just say you're boycotting them and let other people see that and if enough people see that consistently enough it turns into actual action. We can 100% turn this around its well within everyone's power to bitch slap the stupid legal moves out of GWs hands.
Man, I think you need to be advised. Every important character has special stylization and colour for their text in this series, yeah? I'm thinking the voice coming from the Kastelan robot was not its own machine spirit... Rather, Mag'lad'roth, the true master of the Machine Cult. Shield-Host Proteus are in fact beelining for its location, right?
If you waznt more TTS, Checkout Eliphas's 3 part series "Behemoth". it covers The Tyranid's first emergence in the galaxy. It canon to the TTS and it's the first appearance of Kriptman in the TTSverse
When I first saw those videos, It took me from youtube for a while, and disgusted me with Games Workshop. And yet, my friends who like it still follow Games Workshop for their Backstab? Their Treachery? It's depressing. I loved TTS, I grew up with TTS, and it vanished in the blink of an eye, due to the horrid actions of GW.
Shit, I've put off watching the last 2 episodes out of hope that GW might get some sense monetarily knocked into them by people going, "fuck you". I had forgotten that there were those episodes to watch still, and ar this point it's apparent GW either hasn't taken a big enough hit, or just plain straight up doesn't give a shit..... anyways, now I'm here, it's just as sad and depressing as I had feared, to know there is no more of such a passionately constructed project like Alfabusa's, or any potential future to have come is now dashed upon the craggy shore before the ship has even sailed....
The voice actress for this "French lady" has to be half depraved herself to do it so well. As well as the person who created the style of her speaking, the french and the laughter and all. You just can't method act such thing so well otherwise...
What if I told you that the price of rekindling the flame of empathy and awaken the spark of the souls of a group of humans needed to prevent World War 3 was the destruction of the TTS series?
Lore wise probably, but the fight is based on an actual tabletop game in 8th edition as the captions state, with a 500 point difference in the Mechanicus' favor. Mechanicus were one of the best factions in tabletop for 8th, Kastellan robots especially. That's why the Emperor calls Cawl a "metagaming cheesewheel".
@@funkemonke8084 not only that it was an " Ambush" style skirmish which immediately put the custodes at a disadvantage by eliminating the grav carrier as cover and forcing the shadowkeepers and Santodes to having to roll to Deep strike(the reason why they were so late inot the fight)
