Just some quick answers to some of your questions: 1. The big clown is Cegorach the Eldar laughing god. He guards the Black Library, the place where all knowledge is kept. He also mistook the custodes for solitaires, servants of the laughing god. 2. Bazinga is a sort of punchline said by Sheldon Cooper of The Big Bang Theory. Its an overplayed joke and not really funny, hence it being put in here as a very dry/bad joke. 3. Vulkan (jamaican guy) is a perpetual. He can heal from any injury but when he was fighting off a massive ork invasion after the horus heresy he sacrificed himself to destroy the orks and was blown up by a massive amount of ork WAAGH energy. This energy is what gives orks their powers and I presume the reason why he speaks like that now 😂.

Corvus Corax was terrifying to his brothers. I don’t know a ton about him but he was a full on assassin and an extremely deadly fighter. He almost killed Lorgar (Primarch of the Word Bearers and who started the Heresy) in a battle that was laughably one sided. Lorgar was nearly ripped in half before Konrad Curze saved him from Corvus. Since then Corvus is rumored to be in the Eye of Terror hunting Lorgar (who is hiding in a tower “meditating” for the last 10,000 years). Also there are reports that due to the warp Corvus has mutated into a giant demonic crow like being but is still absolutely loyal to the Emperor.

Tbf I feel like most Primarchs almost killed Lorgar at one point or another.

Vulkan Lives! (STOMP, STOMP!) The giant clown is an Eldar Laughing god Cegorach. One of the few Slaanesh did not manage to kill when it came to existence as a thinking active entity. His followers, the Harlequins whom he saved from Slaanesh were basically actors and historical reenactors before the Fall of Eldar. They now guard a tome of never ending knowledge deep in Eldar Webway called Black Library, it is in fact a Craftworld and the production company of Games Workshop that publishes WH40K books is called Black Library too. The Sister of Battle you saw was a named character that Eldar got to guard the library too. Bazinga is from big bang theory and is used by Sheldon as exclamation when he does something he thinks is funny, mostly to no effect among his friends as they do not find him as funny as he does himself. It is used for same effect here, Cegorach thinks he is being hilarious while most other people are terrified of him as god of killer clowns.

Vulkan is a “perpetual” meaning he can’t truly die. Even tho he is a Primarch he has been killed numerous times, mostly by Konrad Curze Primarch of the Night Lords who tortured and killed him repeatedly to try and break his sanity. Konrad wanted to prove that everyone was evil deep down and not just him so he wanted to break the one who was considered the most kind of all his brothers. The last time that Vulkan was seen he was fighting a giant Ork warboss known as “The Beast”. He tackled The Beast and they both fell into a reactor made of pure WAGGHHH energy which vaporized them both. The joke with him here is that Vulkan has returned but is now been sorta mixed with The Beast and Waghh energy which happens from time to time

This episode acts as the prelude to two spin offs, the podcasts and Brotrip both are very worthwhile watching but the podcasts are a bit long.

The podcasts are fantastic, funny, witty, insightful, and lots of fun. I remember I was trying to game with the podcast on in the background but I just couldn't because I kept alt-tabbing back to the podcast because I was so fascinated or because I was laughing so hard I had to prepare myself in case I had to laugh any harder. But they are exceedingly long, I'm unsure if it would fit this format. However, they are nonetheless phenomenal, I'd love it if Ken and Bethany just go through the whole Alfabusa Warhammer playlist as they have been so far. The podcasts being chronologically fitted to the animation is just...chef's kiss.

The thing with Vulkan also originally confused me. Basically works have this thing called WAAAGH!! energy that they use to fuel their magic tricks and some of their tech, a big Ork Warboss known only as "The Beast" created a gigantic reactor of it and Vulkan threw himself and the Beast as it, destroying both of them and the reactor. The implication in this episode is that is damaged Vulkan's soul and made him... "orky", that's why he's speaking like that.
@GamerGrovyle

He explains it in detail though? I don't understand what confuses someone post this episode. He blew himself up along the Beast and fused with their Waaagh energy.

Bazinga is the word Sheldon Cooper (the Big Bang series) says when he makes jokes. With this word he emphasizes that he was joking.

The whole “Bazinga” thing is basically because the Laughing God is a clown. So he comes with his own laugh track and “Bazinga” announcer. Because what else is a clown god gonna use his powers for? Edit: to clarify a bit, the Custodes went to the Black Library to gain knowledge for the Emperor, and the Laughing God of the Eldar (the only god of theirs still alive, whole, and free) is in charge of it

Vulkan died fighting the biggest, baddest ork that ever lived called "The Beast" and only killed it by blowing up an orc reactor powered by energy mad eup of pure orkish psyche and willpower (because ork things mostly work based on the idea of "It works because i tell it to" and a not small amount of psychic energy). However, when this pure ork energy blew him and the beast up, it merged their minds, so we have split personality of super happy jamacain dude and ork warboss

This episode actually sets up two different spin-offs by the creators. The first is Bro Trip, covering Corvus and Vulkan making their way to Terra. Only 3 episodes for that, but very good. Second series is basically a series of "podcasts" with the emperor, the custodes, and the introduction of one of the best side characters: Boy. These are almost entirely audio, however, and the run times average about an hour each for this spin off. Good way to lore dive, though.

If you don't know why they have that Vulkan is sometimes speaking Ork. Well Vulkan went missing or persumebly dead, as Vulkan can't die since he is a perpetual, basically Immortal. I mean he survived a literal nuke detonating on him xd. Anyway Vulkan before going missing the imperium faced of a massive Waaargh invasion by the Orks called War of the beast, Vulkan later joined in this with his legion. The ork had this super weapon that drew upon a lot of so called Waargh energy from the orks and massive battles going on. V ulkan decided to sacrifice himself and faced of the Ork leader personally, called the Beast who was the biggest ork ever seen. In a desperate attempt Vulkan killed the beast while detonating the super Weapon. This resulted in massive chain reaction explosive of Waargh energy. So what the series went with here is that Vulkan survived but was hit with so much Waargh Energy that it altered and messed his mind, so he kind of is half Ork. Which does make sense as if you would survive something like that(which Vulkan can as he is perpetual) you would get f*cked up getting effected with so much explosion of waargh energy.

It's also weird they complain about Vulkan having a Jamaican accent when Magnus sounds straight out of a british soap opera and Leman has all kinds of accent in every word.

"bazinga" is a reference to Big Bang Theory. It was used as a sort of "please laugh" word in it. It was a big thing a while back of making mundane posts and adding "Bazinga" at the end to mock it.

So Cegorach, being the god of jesters, fools, humour, etc, basically has an Eldritch laughing track backing everything he does, denoting everything as a punch line. Same with the use of Bazinga, which serves the same purpose to force a joke. Cegorach’s presence and influence doesn’t make things funny, it *imposes* humour

And thus began 2 spin offs at once - The Roadtrip and the episodes 0-4 of the Podcast. Hopefully we'll see those here too 😃 The "Jester" was the laughing God of the Eldar deity of the Harlequins, who fulfill his orders and guard "The black Library" which is said to be a place that holds all knowledge in the 40k universe. So a very important place but seldom mentioned as its hidden deep in the heart of the Eldar Webway, its location unknown to anyone but the laughing God and some of his servants. It has been discribed as a place, a tome of neverending knowledge and even a small Cratfworld in its own right so its hard to say which is truely the case but in this itteration it is a place in the webway, coincedentally reacheble from what remained of the emperors own webway project. They decided to have the laughing god make slapstick and old standup jokes in the series and the "Bazinga" is a shoutout to the Sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" Hope this answered all the questions 😅

Bazinga is a bad joke from Big Bang Theory. Eldar have terrible senses of humor from human perspectives, so they blended the two. As to Vulkan, he was last seen fighting off the largest Ork warboss, known as The Beast, ever recorded by the Imperium of man. Vulkan sacrificed himself and tackled the ork into a reactor, both were atomized... but in the Lore Vulkan has been killed literally dozens if not hundreds of times. But one of big abilities he inherented from the Emperor was being a "Perpetual", so basically he heals from literally anything. In the Lore Vulkan before dying to the ork was captured by his insane and evil brother Konrad Kurz (think Batman meets Vlad the Impaler... but more insane than even the joker). Konrad tortured Vulkan to death, for over 98% of his deaths. Vulkan went insane and one of his sons later sacrificed himself to rescue Vulkans mind (Don't ask, major digressions). Point being Text-to-Speech decided to parodie Vulkans insanity after Konrad with him blending with an Ork. So instead of an insane 11' and violent Vulkan, they went with a funny (due to the Ork) and huggy (because he was always the nicest Primarch, also of all the traitors Vulkan doesn't personally hate Magnus) for satirical purposes. I suppose that is why they picked the 'funny' black accent for the one 'black' Primarch (though hes more black that they Crayola Crayon)

Isn't Bazinga from Big Bang Theory? Sheldon loved to say that when he thought he's funny. Big Bang Theory is seen by many as a bad example for jokes which aren't really funny and just adding a laugh track to it to tell you "hey, this is funny, laugh now!"

Vulkan is an immortal primarch who cannot die except in very specific circumstances. He supposedly died fighting the greatest and most powerful rok warboss that ever existed. The Beast, but being a perpetual immortal he can never be sure. In this series he seems to have returned with too much waagh energy in his system. While the ultramarines work because of the literal power of the script. Calgar knows this and is deliberately trying to manipulate the narrative and can do absurd and impossible things like knocking down a titan with one blow or flying without a jump pack. The ghost is Ferrus Magnus, a loyal primarch who was the first to die during the Horus heresy, at the hands of his best friend primarch with the weapon he had forged for him (both competed to see who could forge the best weapon, they became friends, They exchanged weapons and since Ferrus ended up headless when they fought, I suppose he was the best blacksmith). Corvus Corax is the primarch of the Raven Guard who was apparently reveling in his misery in the engine of woe. In canon he roams the warp trying to kill the traitor primarch Lorgar and may have become a warp entity of pure shadow in the process. He could have been inspired by the poem "the raven" his name means raven in Latin and the last word he said before disappearing was never again, also from that poem. Ephariel Stern is a character from novels and comics who ended up allying himself with an Eldar harlequin, presumably that is why he is in the black library. The Emperor's grand plan for humanity's survival included gaining access to the Webway where humanity would be more protected from the influence of chaos and could develop its psychic potential more safely. Magnus ruined everything by destroying the planet's psychic defenses while he attempted to send a message causing the imperial web that the Emperor had created to be invaded by countless demons. Black Library is also the brand name for Games Workshop novels. So basically the Emperor is reading books and novels about his own universe, or something like that.

It's definitely not meant to be racist but I will point out that it's weird you'd point out the Black character having an accent when Magnus always sounds like he's one second from calling someone a "Bloke" or that things are "Jolly good".
