I loooooove your channel man! Since 2 months, O have a strange obsession with any kind of planets. I sit there reading and watching videos about planets and feel a feeling I cannot describe. So strange and unreal and SCARED, planets make me so uneasy but I see so much beauty in them! I would venture to say that the landscape on Titan wouldn't be very picturesque. It would most likely be entirely covered with water, making it a waterworld. We could have floating colonies, though. I wonder what the composition of the atmosphere would be.

Cool video. I agree with nearly everything in it. The effects of this on earth and our moon would also be interesting. Increased tidal influence could make the Moon geologically active again becoming similar to Io. Io creates a ring of sulfur around Jupiter, however, due to the stronger solar wind, it's questionable if earth would have the same effect. Titan may increase tectonic activity on earth making Tokyo, Santiago and LA proned to more earthquakes. Titan's reflecticvity is much higher than the Moon's. The sky from earth during a full Titan would probably still have some color at night. Plants may be able to grow as well. So the farmers would be happy. Depending on how long Titan retains a thick atmosphere, there could be evolutionary effects on nocturnal animals especially concerning sight.

All that methane in Titan's atmosphere would probably give it really high daytime temperatures through intense greenhouse effect.

I'm from an alternative universe and this already happened. In fact, I'm actually living on alternate universe Titan!

You make great animations. I have a request, doubt you will be interested but its something i have been thinking about for a while. What would the earth look like if Africa was the south pole, Pacific at the northpole (and the earth axis as well), Antarctica, and the spine of mountains of the Americas near the equator? I seen a map of the moon's path over the earth once and wondered if those ranges could have been created by the moons pull (if they were near the equator, under the moons path, rather than simply tectonics) because the path is similar to the wavy path of those ranges. (This might also cool the earth because one of the hottest regions would have some of the highest elevations, and likely a healthier planet with lush rainforests on all this land around the equator) If Antartica was at the equator, much of the pacific frozen and much of the world's water also trapped on a continent the size of Africa, sea levels would be pbly hundreds of feet lower... just curious what that might look like... inspired by stories of Atlantis. Antarctica in this geographical scenario might be nearly connected to every major continent by land bridges... Just thought it would be cool to actually see it.

hey man, you should check out Universe Sandbox 2. It lets you simulate things like our solar system, galaxy, black holes, etc on the computer. What makes it most fun is that you can experiment what would happen. You can literally put Titan as the moon of the earth and observe the changes on Titan, Earth and the rest of the solar system. You can throw Mars on Jupiter, make 2 galaxies combine, turn sun into a black hole. The possibilites are endless, and its also good video content for you as you have knowledge about this stuff. It would be helpful to visualise it and see how it unfolds. Cheers mate :D

Titan has more than just water ice on its surface its so cold where it is that nitrogen and oxegen both become solid so as it heats it could create an atmosphere simmlilar in composition to earth's

But if it's atmosphere changed and it had liquid water on it, would we be able to breathe on it since it needs a certain amount of oxygen and CO on it with other factors added in?

The heavier the chain (the more carbons per molecule) the higher the temp is required to boil. So methane boils at a lower temp than ethane.

Instead of trying to make other planets and moons to be like Earth, maybe we should try first to make Earth more like Earth.

What youre forgetting is the fact that if the methane lakes start evaporaiting into gas the entire atmosphere would become filled with methane as a greenhouse gas which would rise the temperature even more when it gets closer to earth's orbit to the sun.
