UMK3 hands down. The originals are great but the combos and speed and addition of the run button was huge, upgraded visuals/ sound/ tiered stage and a great lineup was mind blowing.
Kobra | Mortal Kombat 1. Windmill Kick: Kobra slides forward a bit and performs a devastating arching Axe Kick which causes the opponent to bounce off the ground allowing for a juggle. Kobra could be described as Mortal Kombat's stock street brawler character. Infamous for his brutality and savage killings, Kobra shows no mercy to his opponents. Introduced in Mortal Kombat: Deception as the second of Kabal's recruits for the new anarchist oriented Black Dragon clan, he is a gifted young martial artist, eager to put his skills to the test. Appearance Kobra is a tall man. The newest recruit of the Black Dragon has shoulder length blond hair and he wears a white karate gi with black and gold trim; there are symbols all across the front and back of this gi as well. He wears no shirt under his gi, and has a black and gold belt holding it together. He has taped wrists and gloves, and he wears dark baggy pants with yellow trim over bare feet. For his alternate costume, Kobra wears a black and white hooded jacket; the hood is pulled up onto his head. The front of the jacket is adorned with various symbols. His arms are bare except for wrist guards and black gloves with gold symbols. The back of his jacket has a huge coiled cobra sewn onto it. He wears black sweat pants with yellow stitching down the side. He fights on black and gold gym shoes. Character Development In development, Kobra was called Ken Masters as a placeholder name because of his resemblance to the Street Fighter character. Kenny MK Died when they killed the winning game tournament winner Kobra David Hills who won the tournament in United Kingdom MK On the PlayStation 2 ED Boom could bring him back from the dead as he is the last of the Black Dragon Clan but this why MK Is dead.
honestly shaolin monks isnt too bad of an answer, you get both a fun adventure/beat em up with the ability to unlock mk2 (my favorite of the bunch). It may not be arcade perfect but its such a sweet bonus for doing smoke side missions :)
MK9 hands down. No wiggle room. I LOOOVE MKX but If I could only ever play one again, it has to be 9. What a game, I could easily put another 120 hours into it.
MK9, it has the perfect roster (trilogy + Quan Chi), it has alternate costumes (human Sektor and Cyrax, old and young Shang Tsung), I love the gameplay of many characters, has all the classic stages (with a bunch of stage Fatalities), no palete swap ninjas and my favorite Smoke look (the man hair!). (my 1st MK was MK3)
Let me put a Swerve in and say Mortal Kombat shaolin monks, it’s the mk I enjoyed the most, i love everything from the gameplay to the character designs and references, also you can Play a version of Mk2 if you beat the whole game. 2nd mk9
I would probably play MK2 and then MKIX (9), both are well remembered and love by many fans. The 2nd part is Shaolin Monks and MKX, followed by MK Trilogy and MK1 are my personal favorites. Quick question Kenny, have you play the MK2 Remix mod? From some of the videos I seen of it they have included Jade, Noob saibot, and Hornbuckle. 2 of the 3 characters are playable.
Definitely MKX, I prefer MK9 ladder and all the things it has for single player, but I wouldn't be able to let MKX go. I still play it now a little just to not confuse myself with MK1 gameplay.
MK9 is the perfected version of MK2, the same way that MKX is the perfected version of UMK3. my two picks forever will be Shaolin Monks & MKX. one for the traditional games and one for the “spin offs”.
For me, it would be MK9 particularly Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition or MK11 Ultimate Edition with All The DLC and MK11 Story Aftermath or MKII or Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks
UMK 3. Expansions on that engine with mods can be imo sufficient enough. Mugen proves that if you like gameplay over graphics. Mods help graphics. 👍 TLDR TRILOGY DISCUSSION @ 6:25
Then again, if this makes sense to to anyone who gets where I’m coming from and Kenny as well, I enjoy T2 over T3 but I’m good at both from the console and arcade days.
As a casual player mk9 was peak for me, just for the modes, content and overall atmosphere of the game. But honestly MKX just feels the best to play, even if I'm not a fan of how dark the visuals are.
I would love to see a Klassic MK Kollection on current gen consoles with modern gaming features, secret characters unlocked, playable bosses that are not playable, etc... - MK - MK2 - MK3 - UMK3 - MK Trilogy Maybe they can fix up Trilogy to have the PS1 roster and the N64 exclusive Khameleon and fix up the technical issues. I 100% agree that MK9 is great. I wouldn't mind a PS5 collection of MK9 and MK10.
Weird i see this video and i just got mk deadly alliance this morning good game and the last mortal kombat game i needed to complete the collection But yeah as for what game i would play it has to be mk9 just everything about that game was and still is amazing If you say mk1 2023 then im sorry but we cant be friends😅 No im dead serious.
