Picking coconuts looked like a lot of fun! As a diver, please let people know that touching coral, either with hands or fins will damage and kill it. Divers should refrain from crawling across the coral. That is why the reefs around Florida are so dead. Just a little PSA. I love that you are enjoying the beginning of your journey!

Hard work but rewarding coconut jiggling. Seems Sailboat Story was prepared, I think they sailed here before on Sand Flea. Some people can climb up but takes upper body strength, strong legs and willingness to hug a coconut tree trunk going up and coming down.

Opening the coconut does take some work but is worth it. I found a good video on how to open it. Once you remove the husk, there are 3 eyes at the tip of the coconut. If you put a phillips through 2 of the eyes, the milk will slowly drain out. The crack the coconut open with a hammer. Hope it helps. I love them but they are definitely working for your food!
