I have the problem where I’m starting to get into fashion like heavy (before I was just like oh yeah supreme bape yeezy cool) but now I’m exploring different subgenres like techwear and even mallcore type stuff The problem is I still have all my crap from before I was into fashion like athleisure stuff and nerdy shirts like gaming and whatever so I have no actual pieces to start off of For now I’m really liking the vintage and archive aesthetic but idk where to get good pieces for cheap because now I’m also a broke fulltime college student with no job and parents who dont understand fashion 😭 I can’t even get the basics rn Obv fashion is not a major necessity but I want to feel good about myself and I’m not happy wit what I got rn because that’s not me; that’s the *old* me who didnt care about himself and every time I look through what I have rn I feel like ass bruh
Try to put your old clothes up for sale. Use that money to build your wardrobe. If you know what you’re looking for, go thrifting bro. You should be able to find similar stuff, and even if it’s not exactly what you want, get it tailored or do some diy type stuff until you get enough money for vintage and archive

Yea bro it’s part of the journey, we all start there, even me. There will be some trail and error no matter what. I would recommend trying a lot of clothes on. Once you decide you like something, if you’re able to physically go try it on, do that. And if you can’t physically go try that exact thing, try to find something similar first so you can get an idea
What’s helped me the most as someone vertically challenged and more of the thicc 🥴side has been tailoring and proportions. Additionally, the entry of baggier clothing has changed the game for me. I’ve found my aesthetic and style, and now I could wear an outfit 2021/2022 me would’ve worn, but because of the additional knowledge the fits give off a much better look and feel. And not to mention the help of Grundy videos 🫡
This is a very debatable topic actually. Some high end designers really carry some of the same traits. You’ll prolly get better quality but the fast pace “in and out” idea is still there
