I have every single symptom of hashimoto's disease, and just like you said, I have positive antibodies but my other labs are normal, but am I just supposed to live with the exhaustion, hair loss, irritability and depression, the gosh darn rash that I've had for the last 6 months, random low blood sugar attacks, joint pain, cold intolerance, etc? Like it's EVERY SINGLE SYMPTOM, but my labs are "normal" 🙄
Totally with you! Have you cut out gluten and sugar (including fruit sugars) from your diet. That’s been the only thing to rid the rash that I l developed on both wrists. Ive also dropped about 12lbs with that adjustment…but I’ve got more weight to lose so hopefully I find more tips and tricks.
I am taking thyroid meds but I feel awful all day everyday and all my doctors say it's nothing because the labs are "normal". But they aren't normal my antibodies are shot high still my thyroid is swollen I'm having uterine problems. I'm anemic every day. This is no way to live and no one will help me.
@@shellym79Eat more red meat, sweet potatoes and cooked cruciferous vegetables and real salt (sea salt or Celtic salt. I also have low blood pressure so the extra salt helped me. Try eliminating sugar, gluten, grains (except for millet and sorghum) and lectins. Levothyroxine helped me but Liothyronine gave me energy and helped regulate my body temperature. I was always freezing. I’m off of Liothyronine because after 6 months it made my heart beat fast. But it still helped me a lot. I’ve been off of it for about 9 months. Take a clean multivitamin, Klaire Labs makes a good one and take Vitamin D3 with K2. I was also anemic and I tried the Iron pills from the brand called Innate. They are gentle on the stomach. May God bless you.
Also, incorporate bone broth, real Grassfed butter and pasture raised eggs.I also started taking selenium but you can get it naturally from 1 Brazil nut a day. Some people love the way they taste.
I am 14 and was diagnosed in October of 2023. I remember having chest pains and tiredness and being freezing all the time. Thanks goodness my doctor took an ekg and a blood sample for antibodies since she also had hashimotos. I was diagnose by my endo but I was still having chest pains and when we went to the cardiologist they pushed it aside. The next time I had an appointment with my regular doctor she said everything looked good and was surprised about heart block. My mom or dad was never told about the heart block and we didn’t find out until February. I’m so thankful for my doctor and that she could help get me diagnosed.
I was in the grey zone but my Dr decided to put me on medication anyway. Unfortunately, didn't help and it's now full blown hashimotos. It seems in the US there is heaps of support like you out there helping them. I've been trying to find help in NZ and just can't find anyone to help me. I'm maybe looking in the wrong places, but it's frustrating.
Keep asking different doctors, especially if you're a woman. Medical negligence against women is very common and only now being spoken about. I don't know a single woman who has not had to fight for the help she needs. We end up having to self diagnose and force them to do the right tests or give us the correct treatment. It's exhausting.
When I was active duty, I suspected I had a thyroid issue (inability to loose weight, always tired, hair loss, low sec drive). Got tested and was told I’m ok. Five years later, I retired and got tested again, and now I have full blown Hashimoto’s? Same symptoms just more confused and pissed off.
