are there any games that have a true economy like eve online but allows for easy buy in and cash out? the idea is cool if theres a real game behind it, but it seems that the idea attracts a lot of shady/con artists. a vid talking about the pros cons and pitfalls of making a real game like that would be cool. i bet the economy management would be a nightmare hence why eve hires profesional economists( at least that's what i was told ) to manually balance the ingame economy due to the real world worth that people measure ships in.

@@kalef1234 It's not a ponzy scheme. I can see how you'd think that without delving deep but the token was not funded, no ico or pre sale. Its a completely made up supply scattered across the world, its worth zero. The players collect from the land. The reason the coin now has an exchange value is because the players are valuing it from various utility, plus where its supply is capped and deflationary. 1 of the main attractions is one of the most controversial and that's not having the product first. But to make it fully player owned and no outside investors adding a cut to everything it required people to back these guys and buy the land to fund it. They have made it now of course I want new users for its success but I don't need them to continue my own game

I've been wondering. I remember Josh Strife Hayes in one of his channels uploaded his entire debunk of Earth 2 project spanning around 50 minutes, especially when Callum posted his project fulfilling Shane's 7 criteria and reviewed by a neutral party for a 10,000 bucks bounty. Then actually proves that Earth 2 hadn't modelled earth accurately where trees are made out of recolored elevated ground in the end. Now the video is gone. Anyone know about what happened that video?

I remember Entropia universe (a Swedish scifi mmo) doing something similar to this, just lacking the crypto part. At one point, the largest plot you could get would cost over 30k$. If you get lucky, you can buy a very cheap house in Sweden for that kind of money (massive emphasis on the "get lucky" part). The worst thing is that due to the game pretty much being a thinly failed casino, you will struggle to even break even if you decide to try making use of that plot (farming requires absurd materials that can make you barely break even). Edit: The largest plot available was 60mx60m, to unlock them initially you needed 162 CLD's or Calypso (the name of the planet) Land Deeds. Back in 2016, these went for 190$, so the largest plot required a bit over 30k$ to get. This doesn't even take into account any materials to build the gardening boxes needed to grow stuff, neither any seeds or materials like water or tools to cultivate crops. This is why I find such ideas hilarious, id rather buy some land in real life than waste my time on digital land that will never amount to anything (better to place stardew valley, harvest moon or even animal crossing for such things).

A legit 1-1 representation of Earth already exists, but without all the crypto bullshit of Earth2. It's called Microsoft Flight Simulator! And look at the unbelievable amount of resources Microsoft uses to create that. The only 1-1 thing in E2 is the map they use to put their scam crypto tiles on top of. The actual gameplay looks like any generic game scenery. They will never ever be able to actually replicate anything that resembles real Earth locations for the whole planet, let alone, 1-1. LOL

I can personally vouch for the video sponsor, the key for my VW was a cheap plastic clamshell and the bitting snapped out of it. I submitted a picture of the key, ordered the home replacement kit and was able to program my key easily myself from home for under $100

Even if the project weren't a scam, I fail to see the point of digitally recreating the planet we all live on and can see for real any day. Why not use some imagination and build an alien planet that people might actually _want_ to explore? Glowing pink grasslands, forests of mushrooms 7 stories tell, floating mountains, 15 moons ricocheting off each other in the sky - I don't know, I'm spitballing. Just sounds like a worthier investment of time to me.

Honestly; I don't think virtual worlds will ever take off. It might be fun for a bit, but the novelty will wear off. No matter how you try and spin it, it's not real, and that's a fact that I don't think anyone can shake off. My only gripe with Earth 2 is they aren't giving us enough content! Like, this is seriously one of my favourite shows for youtubers to cover... I call it a show as i see it like a tv show, its one heck of a comedy and never gets old. Love seeing a new video on the topic, hope our legend himself Arya is doing well, i mean he did call out all the youtubers who said E2 sucks and he promised it isn't a scam and it will be gold, hope he still keeping to his guns.

I was watching a lot of Earth 2 videos by you & Kira & Callum back in 2022 or so, and then it all stopped. I didn't know why and I've missed it. I'm glad to see a new video on it. Fun stuff.
