WOW! Dave, powerful. Glad you shared this, I sent it to my wife and daughters. I wish I'd seen this before high school, and I'm almost 60 now. I had to figure this out on my own, your video would have made it SO MUCH EASIER... I carried that "pit in the stomach" before any and every event for many years, and it will still make itself known if I don't control it. Thanks for what you do brother! Cheers from Texas! God Bless you and your family and crew.

I'm a veteran and this guy hits pretty close. One thing is true. When push comes to shove, you'll know the difference between brothers and others. It took years to talk and longer to talk without tearing up. What I know now is that talking about it doesn't seem to phase most people, they don't actually see maimed kids in the street when you talk about them. They don't feel the fear of being holed up for days. They can't see it, they don't wake up from it and they don't worry about getting socked in the face for waking you up. In short, it makes you a guy with some wacky stories.

I honestly just found your podcast channel. This is the first one that I have listened to. I have a lot of anxiety due to many different events in life. I spent 18 years in the military and currently work as a firefighter. Things that I have saw combined with things that happened growing up and in early adulthood have left me feeling "not good enough" or "subpar". This podcast really hit hard. Emotionally hard for me to listen to. If it wasn't for God's love and my wife's support, I wouldn't be as good as I am today. So thank you for putting out there real emotions and real feelings.

I think at the heart of it, this question is everything we need to know about love. Imagine raising your kids in a way that lets them know that no matter what, you love them. Imagine being a spouse that does that. It's extremely powerful. Imagine approaching every friendship with that openness. It would certainly change the world.

I can't be the only one that feels secure in himself (or herself for the ladies) enough that since my late 20's, have never given one thought as to what others think of me. I have faults of course, but I'm a good man, empathetic, caring, generous, and when I look in the mirror, I see what's there, the good, and the bad. I have a choice to change what I don't like about myself, I don't need another's approval to change or to not change. As a child, I was one of the bullied kids, and hated school so this may have been part of who I have become as an adult. I care to some extent what others think of me, and my life, but ultimately I know who I am, and I'm happy with that, mistakes and all, and I've made a lot of them. What you or anyone thinks of me only serves as a guide for me when I do look at myself, and if what you say is true, then I may change something, but I never take another's judgment of me good, or bad as the gospel truth. I'm so confident in who I am if given a compliment I know I don't deserve, I say thank you, and move on, but if I deserve the compliment, I'm proud to have performed to expectation. It's all black, and white for me, we are all the same with similar problems, and none of us are better than another. It's a matter of honesty with oneself, and others that I live by, just be honest with yourself, don't hide behind a facade, and you'll be so much happier! 👍✌ P.S. I'm 61 so have had many experiences which led me to this way of thinking. I'm ecstatic this gentleman is here to help others become secure in their own skin, and be happy in life. I actually thought of becoming a therapist back in the day, and that was likely one of the life mistakes I made as I think I could have helped a lot of people, and been very happy with that career. Cheers to Mike Simpson for following his path to helping others, I'm certain he is a godsend for many!

I needed resource but never got it. I have a couple profound "learning disabilities" I never understood why people were not interested in my friend ship until I understood that no one could see through their own pain. It took me a very long time on a very lonesome road to see myself with love. Love does not come from the approval others. No one is worthy to give it. My dearest truth is that if you could feel and see the world the way I do, you would want to be me. I am very aware that that sounds arrogant but I don't know how to put it more simple.

Absolutely loving the teachings of these. I commented on the first episode and feel even more strongly after this one. I am already putting these lessons into action. I look forward to being able to recognize and overcome the symptoms of my military induced PTSD; I do not like that I believe all strangers are out to harm. I would hope that I will be able to go into public and be open to encounter the unknown, one day. Thank you for creating these videos.

Thank you Brother for your service! I hope that you can find help with your PTSD. I am always happy to listen to someone else in their time of need. Keep being positive in your thoughts and feelings about your life. Each of us have different ways of dealing with things that happen to us. Take this with a grain of salt. But the best thing I can tell you is to talk to God about what is on your mind. He hears us and will truly help us if we put our hearts in to really trusting him. He knows all, the good and bad, and wants to heal us from our sins. He is the master of everything. He can do wonders if we allow him into our lives. God bless!

Hanuz you are a smart person. Don't let anyone tell you that you're not. There is smarts in all of us we all learn in different ways. There are plenty of other ways to learn, it is just having a teacher who can interact and engage you in a different way. This man is a smart man. You definitely have the ability to go far. It is mostly our selves that hold us back. We just have to want to do what ever it is, a have a good attitude about what your doing. And then take the time to do those things. It takes determination and patience for you to overcome your fears and get a good grasp of what it is your needs are to achieve your goals. Never let someone else make you feel bad about yourself. May God bless you in your efforts. Turn to God, he will not lead you astray. Peace be with you and your family if you have one already.

HeavyD thank you for having this particular podcast. It was wonderful! What an astounding doctor that man is! This podcast was so touching and relating to my life. I would love to be hypnotized by him about something very personal and to stop me from smoking cigarettes. I learned lots regarding why I had certain feelings about things that happened in my childhood. WOW WOW WOW! I learned something called rational behavior therapy (RBT) back in the late 90s. Its list goes like this...1. Stop what you're doing and thinking immediately before you do something with a bad outcome! 2. Change your thinking or feeling about the situation at hand. 3. Changing the way you think of something will change the emotion. 4. The emotion will change the action. 4. The action will change the consequence. In short....1. stop, change thought, change your emotions, change your action, automatically changes your consequence.

VERY GOOD! Thank you! I have SO MUCH admiration for you all. You are such a bright spot in my day. And, let me tell you, Hans, you ARE Heavy D's right hand. Maybe you went to "resource" in school to gain knowledge about resources. You ARE Heavy's resource go-to. I love that about you. What you accomplished in the snowed in series was so amazing, I was in awe what you pulled off. Your anxiety is worry that you might not hit the mark, which you do, every single time! Have more confidence in yourself! With a man like Heavy giving you that position in his life and career, you are really SPECIAL. Heavy, your gift is helping others, and telling your story, no matter what that story happens to be at the moment. You are all such great role models for others. You are real. At first, I wasn't sure about Diesel Dave, but the more I watch him, he is such a gift from God. Everyone needs a Diesel Dave in their life! And, the logistics! Holy cow! What you have pulled off... the Hunter rescue with the Freedom bus, the concrete for the ghost town! And having EVERYTHING YOU NEEDED to help the folks with a flat tire. Go back and watch that part again and tell me how that wasn't directly orchestrated by God! Thank God for saving Diesel Dave on the mountain. God is leading your path. Just PLEASE leave the mediums alone. I challenge you to google mediums in the Bible. They are demons, so of course they will know what happened. They will lie to you and tell you it was them when it was from God. That's what demons do. Leave them alone... please. Allow God to lead your path. He has brought you this far. Would you in your wildest dreams as a child, thought you would be here right now? Give praise where its deserved, and walk on! 🥰

I need this guy to help me with my panic disorder. Because I get the irrational part of my panic but I can’t get over the wall on it. I need this guys book and a few visit with him. If only??? At least I can still hot rod around and drive fast..😎
