I can admit pornography only sends you down a path of endless pain and feeling mentality drain all the time I see people saying they won't stop watching pornography or they may stick to it if it makes you happy watching it it's a free country do as you like but sooner or later you gonna get tired of watching men have relations with women you want to have relations with yourself I watch it and just messes with my mind I can go 2 weeks or a month without watching it and it feels great but after awhile I get those thoughts and I'm right back watching it again.

Unless you get rid of your smartphone and put blockers on your PC, you're never overcoming (pun) your porn addiction. 17 years addicted to it, and only recently I made that change in my life. Guess what: my addicted ass *still* finds ways I would never have come up with to relapse. I'm finally BARELY winning against this addiction, and even still, despite the drastic changes, I still find the withdrawals a BITCH to deal with. I look at all these poor men who express in the comments how much they want to quit. Take the example of the alcoholic clearing his fridge of booze first. Rid your "fridge" so to speak (smart devices, add blockers etc.) now. I wish I did this 10 years ago; but I can't change the past. Just gotta take this serious now.

I'm 38 and have been trying to quit porn for years and watching for basically 2 decades, but I have realized it is thee most addictive thing in the world. I have quit all sorts of drugs, quit drinking alcohol, but porn is just so hard to stop. It has made keeping an erection difficult when having sex, given me social anxiety, negatively affected my confidence, amongst many other things. Have no idea what to do at this point but just keep praying on the matter. After 3 weeks seeing a girl in a bikini will get me to want to go do it. Lust is an incredibly powerful drug, more than any that I have ever done.

This is definitely what I needed to hear, I will overcome this addiction so I can gain my self confidence.

But like I’m considering just sticking to it because I can’t even get the real thing why even waste time back flipping for cat when I can just go online

Dude, I can only say for myself that the reason I use porn is because I can't get what I want in reality. Women just are not sexually interested in me - at least the women that I want. I put a lot of work into myself, but still no. Maybe if I was rich and spending like a rich man then yes. So I turn to porn as a poor substitute for the real thing. The way I think of it, it is like eating instant ramen for dinner every night if nothing else is around. I would much rather eat in a five star restaurant, but if this is all you have, that is what you eat. Same thing with porn. it's a bit depressing but it meets the need, it satisfies the hunger at least for a while. I don't agree with you. We should be thankful that it is around for men who can't get a girl. 100 years ago, these type of men, like me, had zero. Agreed that it is far less than ideal, but no shame in it at all.

If you felt shame it´s because you had some emotional issues attached to it. I can get why some people feel ashamed or guilty and it all boils down to the "type" they were into. My opinion? Watching solo women do stuff online or whatever is absolutely no different than sitting in a chair across the room watching a woman do that exact same act right before joining her. Which is exactly why I feel no shame. Im attracted to women, I have had and will continue to have real sex with women and feeling ashamed about both of those things while jorkin it would only Pavlov me into feeling bad about the real act altogether. So the fact you and others feel ashamed is entirely self inflicted because of "what" you were watching. So letting this self imposed guilt or shame is why men who do watch the "content" develop so many negative issues.

There is nothing wrong in watching porn. When you watch too much you get bored then you avoid it. After some time, you restart to watch. It's okay.
