Fast food menu items like hamburgers and pizzas have long become staples in Korea, especially among teenagers. Unlike the relatively fast and affordable hamburgers however, pizzas tend to be more expensive while taking longer to prepare. This prompted a Korean management student studying in Singapore to wonder if it was possible to make pizzas in a way that was as quick and easy on the wallet as hamburgers at a McDonald’s. After pondering this question, he eventually founded “GoPizza” from a humble food truck, which has since become a fast-rising global chain operating 200 stores across seven countries with the help of groundbreaking robot technology and AI in its kitchen operations.
