I love it that you love your obs truck it’s great a lot of younger people do not like to work on there cars and it kind sounds like you have a exhaust leak
They have some gaskets I think they are BBK gaskets they are a lil bit thicker since some headers are warped I put them on my old Tahoe I had with headers and it helped alot never had a leak again
Jesse Obs pickle fork to pry it off. You still have to grease them bro. Idk if you did the bottom ones.. they have to swell up a bit. Or they fail prematurely
I think you were suppose to get a marker and mark where the lobe was before you loosened and removed it. You then put it back aligning the marks. It may be exactly where you removed it.
It’s crazy that you made this vid I went to take my dropped 95 Chevy for an alignment last week they said the same thing and was going to buy the ball joints , but I’m kinda confused shouldn’t you also get the ball joints replaced Edit: oh I just rewatched it and missed that the control arm came with the ball joints lol
Wayyyyyyy easier than changing ball joints lol. And it’s a no brainer bro. You just a new control arm, new bushings and a new ball joint. A preventative, efficient choicr all around
I own one of these trucks do you guys have problems with power steering I have replaced everything including the lines and the pump 2 Times now and just had another pump go out I’m having to put more power steering more often then you should check oil
If you’ve changed EVERYTHING and it STILL does the same thing... Idk what to tell you. Except maybe try putting the most HIGH QUALITY parts like Delphi or A/C Delco
Thanks! 2.5” Flowtech short tube headers, 2.5” down pipes that meet a 2.5” Y pipe, No cat, 3” piping all the way back to a singular Carven R Seris 3” muffler, 4” staggered dual tips out the back behind the passenger stepside
New control arms IMPROVE you mr ride bro and have nice, new, greased ball joints keep your suspension from breaking in half at 75 mph on the freeway 🤷🏽♂️ it happens... these are old trucks REPLACE YOUR BALL JOINTS LOL. And controls while you’re at it. The ball joints by themselves are kinda hard to change bro. Especially if they’re pressed in
My flip kit was made in AMERICA, and the uppers that were installed in this video are KYB’s. I’m in at $1,000 for like 50% of the suspension so far. It RODE better w the OEM parts, but let me tell you... it didn’t look this SICK 🥴
Upper tubular control arms DO NOT exsist. Only LOWER. Which one I only have tubular lowers and regular uppers. I’d have to get em custom made and pay a fortune lol.
I’ve been a mechanic the majority of my work life lol. I think I’ve seen enough ball joints to know that they’re not all the same lol. I meant that sometimes on an old truck you can conveniently make the job way easier and kill two birds with one stone by doing control arms instead. Bushings are important too. Why not have both brand new? Have a blessed night, sir 👍🏽
I hate doin ball joints lol. These trucks are old and usually have old control arm bushings… might as well kill all the birds w one stone and get a fresh alignment w it too 🤷🏽♂️
That one wheel is off because of your tie rod is turned out to far... If it was your control arm the top of the wheel would be leaned out at the top, but I'm sure you have it corrected by now! Good video
