Interesting question... im not sure if they are just not used around me or what, but in 5 years of having a radar detector that goes off literally every single day, ive never had an encounter with LIDAR. Looking at the RDF map of CA it looks like LIDAR isnt used in SLO county, but it is used more heavily in SoCAL
@@improvedgarage not sure exactly where you’re at but it sounds like you’re mostly driving local? I know that CHP definitely run lidar throughout the state.
