In this video, Dr. Berg discussed the heart in relationship to nutritional deficiencies.
The heart is one of the main muscles of the body that responds to nutrition very quickly. Arrhythmia is a problem with the pacemaker of the heart, a neurological thing that keeps the heart rhythm and requires electrolytes. Not having enough electrolytes would create all sorts of abnormal heart rhythms happen in the body.
Calcium - helps contract muscles. Calcium deficiency could cause tetany, muscle twitch, and too much calcium could create a rhythm problem with the heart. Vitamin D3 increases the absorption of calcium by 20x in the small intestine and Vitamin K2 helps avoid the buildup of too much calcium in the arteries or other soft tissues.
Magnesium - Deficient in magnesium could cause leg cramps. Magnesium is involved in the relaxation of muscles and it is very important for muscle cramps prevention.
Sodium - Low sodium will cause feeling weak and too much sodium would cause high blood pressure.
Potassium - The body needs 4,700mg of potassium daily. It is needed for the electrical connectivity of the nervous system and the muscles, it also helps lower blood pressure and lowers the pulse rate.
Insulin resistance is a condition where the cell can’t absorb the minerals well anymore and it’ll start developing all sorts of issues in the arteries. Plaquing in the arteries develops after a lesion or oxidative problem with the artery wall.
Heart attacks occur during a stress event because the adrenal triggers it. The adrenal hormone called adrenaline has one function of vasodilation the coronary artery, the main blood supply to the heart itself.
Vitamin B1 is really important in preventing the heart from enlarging. Respiratory and breathing problems will occur when you are deficient in vitamin B1. Some of the B vitamins help the arteries constrict and some help with vasodilation.

After 25 years on statins, my calcium heart score went to 905. I found a study in Holland that revealed statins CAUSE high heart calcium. Thanks medical "experts!" My heart felt like it was laboring to beat because it was turning to cement! After Dr. Berg's Keto, K2 and EDTA for 8 months, my heart is totally relaxed and I can barely feel it beating. Despite strenuous wok, no heart issues. Passed my nuclear stress test with flying colors. But, the first thing my "new" cardiologist said was, "We need to get you back on a statin." So, I fired him. THANKS DR BERG!

I’m wondering if my husband should take vitamin K2 while taking his statin and some other med for thinning his blood, due to blockages? The vascular doctor said that the meds that he put my husband on, are supposed to get rid of the blockage….but you say there’s a study that shows that statins can cause calcium build-up….basically, a blockage?! I am afraid of interfering with the meds that he is on….and causing something bad to happen! I don’t know what to do!

In 2009 I had 10 autoimmune "illnesses". I had given up on docs after the tests, apts, procedures, surgeries etc bankrupted me. They had no answers for me, all my issues were untreatable. They could only manage my pain. I happened upon one of your videos and became addicted to info. First things to go were restless leg and fibromyalgia. Next gone was arthritis head to toe, from No grain, no Pain". The sjorgens was gone too, but I had already lost my teeth. But my gums and mouth are healthy, thank you magnesium, minerals, vit C +B+d3/k2. I had found functional medicine as the docs were finding it. I feel like I watched them grow up and was happy to try things out with them. You had the most and best videos at the time. You began the journey before them. I was a bit surprised when many of them found eachother and began the movement that you weren't a part of that group. No matter, you were the one that not only saved my life, but allowed me to live it again. I'm still left with autonomic and peripheral neuropathy but its doable. I'm still watching your videos and tweaking my diet. I have shared you with anyone who will listen, as the man who saved my life🙏💗

The neuropathies were the only ones I could not eliminate, I/they/no one knows the cause. Hard to fix w/out a root cause. I made it tolerable by eliminating the other issues. There's a compounding effect the more issues you have. Unfixable is the old definition of autoimmune. Functional medicine has found cures, all thru nutrition. Normal medicine says MS in incurable, functional medicine cures it. Look up Terry Wahl.

For anyone with chronic AF (atrial fib), I found a way to completely eliminate it. I used to have to take metoprolol to calm my heart down. But then I researched it and here is what’s working: 1. Fenugreek - raises testosterone by blocking estrogen. 2. Ashwagandha- an adoptogen that supports the nervous system and relieves stress. 3. Turmeric/curcumin- anti inflammatory, antioxidant, and thins the blood I’m not exactly sure which one is doing the job- I suspect all of them have a part. But I no longer have any kind of arrhythmia and it’s been several months.

But also could be hereditary, but is unknown due to being adopted. Of course a sugary diet and bad habits through the years can also be the culprit. I haven't been able to sleep much since he's been home from the hospital fearing he will need me, or die. I have him on a few of these supplements and hope his diet continues to improve. He has been thin ALL of his life. Still is. He is only 62. Thank You for this info Dr. Berg. This video contained information that was exactly what I had been wanting to know regarding the heart, particularly irregular heart beats. It isn’t a simple topic to research for a lay person, but you have enough information for me to get started, and more importantly you gave me the dietary facts I needed to know. Thank you very much. 💕

I love this information. My doctor put me on calcium channel blockers, diuretics and others. After 10 months, my heart was nearly not beating at all. I stoped taking these meds, and in three weeks, my heart was nearly normal. I actually went and prepaid for my funeral before I got off all the meds. It was that bad. I want to help my body with natural foods. I’m trying to learn. You are very helpful.

I think it's sad how I went to my cardiologist for an irregular heart beat condition. He did tests on me, and everything checked out. But he gave me a Rx for cholesterol prevention build up purposes. Not once did he ever ask me about my nutrition, or possible life style issues. He got upset when I told him that I would never take any drugs. He evidently is totally and sadly sold out to big PHARMA, Unfortunately!

the part where you explain what happens to vitamin C if you have too much sugar in your diet is eye-opening. A lot of vitamin C supplements are full of sugar and that makes me mad. I wish these companies could be exposed and held responsible.

@@DARKK_DC You don't get the benefits of the vitamin C, but you do get the inflammation from the sugar. We can't trust theses supplement companies. I'm trying to meet all my nutritional needs through the highest quality foods, and a balanced diet. I grew up on vitamin supplements mainly because of my mother, but now I don't trust them at all. I only take vitamin D, and Iron now, because it's been recommended by my doctor.
