Ugh, this is relatable. They all make you sympathize with them, therefore ignoring what’s really going on. It’s tough!

It feels almost like being paralyzed with fear that if I leave, I fail or I would die.

I know... Its a terrible terrible terrible feeling. A part of you wants to save the relationship, come what may. A part of you wants to be a fighter and fight it out till the end. A part of you wants to crawl into a corner and hide. It's like you can feel someone drilling a hole into you while you're wide awake.

🧑‍🎄⛄🦌🎄🎶🎵 Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel 🎵🎶 LOL ok... couldn't help that. Anyhoo, sweet girl....be thankful to the good Lord above that you wasn't stuck like me 21 LOOOONG A** YEARS then you blink and before you realize it, you are 51 years old and come to the epiphany that I never knew what true love looks like or feels like and it's too late for me. I am so angry at myself and I'm trying to forgive myself. I hurt so much most days...and when I have tried leaving him, I get sucked back in. I resent him so much so that I am planning to try another "reset" very very soon and on the DL. PRAY FOR ME EVERYONE 🙏 .

Totally relatable. My husband hooked me to the idea that I could 'CURE' him of his childhood trauma. I would be one of the few people who would thank pandemic because first lockdown showed me his real face and second gave me the distance to realise that his inhumane abuse was not ok and it has nothing to do with childhood trauma. And that gave me the courage to leave. Otherwise I would have been one of those people who are unable to leave a narcissistic partner for lifetime.

Get out quickly and quietly especially if they are a covert narcissist. They are the most dangerous of them all. I pray for you. I had to do the same thing.

Happened to me and my fiancee. I also tought that his childhood trauma made him act like that. And hoped that my love will help him. But it all got worst in time. When we broke up he even got psihical and left a bruise on my arm. I am happy that i had the strenght to leave him when i did.

codependents and narcissists go perfectly together for a disastrous relationship... one wants to help because they had been hurt so badly as a child the other once wants to hurt because they have been treated badly as a child. The narcissist takes advantage of the codependent and the codependent takes advantage of the narcissist.

Is this relatable or what????? Its like pressing a rewind button in my life, countless times. Especially the bit where shes explaining how she stayed thinking that her loving him unconditionally would change things. Hit me like a dart... Bulls eye! Leaving is not that simple or easy as others around you perceive it to be. You actually have feelings for the crazy narc that stop you. Even after it's all over you tend to replay the good memories and times you had with them. Its a normal human reaction and we have a tough time because we're normal humans. If we were evil lunatics it would be a joyride.

@@rh5273 I understand exactly what you're saying? How long have you been no contact? Time doesn't give you a brain transplant. It's natural to miss and grieve something which you have lost. I feel like slapping people who tell me to just get over it or to let it go. It's not that simple.

@@sakak977 it has been a month. I am trying my best to forget him. But it is not easy as what people said. Flashbacks after flashbacks even when i closed my eyes. Even a simple task is the hardest for me to focus because i can still see him.
