I've done over a thousand clusters on the International trucks. First thing I tell people when they call for repairs is to replace their fuse. They'll oxidize on the contacts, and that reduced voltage will raise all kinds of havoc. One fuse was so bad, I was only getting 4.2 volts at the cluster. Changed the fuse, and life was good! I deal with the soldier joint issues all the time, but there are ways to fix them so they'll stay fixed. Nice work!
I've had those glass fuses have a bad connection in the inside at the metal end and it drove me crazy as another point of failure. Intermittent electricaklissues can drive you crazy. Nice job! Thanks!
Glad I found your channel. Have you done or would you do a complete adjustment on clutch and TA on 86 series tractor? Especially addressing wear from decades of use. Or updating OEM components for improvement. I know my clutch mount was updated.
