PA Farms I just got my latest purchase running, and am working on getting it cleaned up. It's not red, but cheap horsepower is cheap I guess lol. Video coming soon!!
My uncle has a 986 just like that turbo and the cab every thing pretty much. They bought it brand new I am not sure why year but they bought it to pull a 2 row New holland chopper and that was there big tractor years it has about 13,000 hours on it with nothing ever done to it besides regular maintenance. Now it just runs their TMR on their dairy farm.
I always drain my oil coolers on my tractors, it was a pain to get at until I extended the drain plug with a piece of pipe so it's even with the bottom of the frame.
Didn't know the oil pans on the 986 I thought all the 436 pans were the same. How often do you grease the front end on your tractors? I've always done it at oil changes while it's right there. Good video
Yea if you look on tractor data the 1586 has a bigger radiator and holds 6qts more oil. Since this front end was rebuilt not to long ago, I probably over grease.
Did the non-turbo 436 have oil squirters for cooling pistons, and a high capacity oil pump. I think that may be another difference other than just oil capacity of the pan. I haven't had my 966 apart to see if it is different than my 1066's.
Good day What did oil change cost you. With good oil on sale my 574 cost me $44.00 for oil & filter cost 22. My 2013 chevy pkup at quicke place cost $64. regular dexos, or $100.00 for syn. for 5quarts. This is getting crazy for oil changes. I started doing it myself & it still cost 46. cdn.. Thanks
What’s the difference between a 9 and 1086? 1086 had a turbo right? Kinda like oliver on the 17-1955s. Except they should’ve put an oil cooler on the 1855 big mistake. That a gas car?
Jake Ziegler yep the 1086 had a 414 motor with a turbo like a 1066. Like pa farms said the 986 had a non turbo 436 from the factory. The 1086 had a bigger rear axle then the 986
Engine oil they recommend 30w diesel oil. I put Shell 15-40 in everything. Hydraulic oil can use hytran but its pricey. You can use anything compatible with IH. Coolant just a 50/50 premix.
@@PAFarms I was thinking shell 15-40 for all year round and change it every 100 hours since I run T6 in my cummins. What brand of hydraulic oil would you recommend or you just use the IH stuff?
