I worked a full time job. 40 hours a week. Was paid $8.50/hr., at a nationally, well known, thrift store, near the end of Trump's term. I was then on food stamps, which helped. Then Trump slashed all SNAP benefits for many, nationwide. I was one of them. My state's already paltry food stamp, monthly amount was sadly, very low. Very soon after, my limited food supply quickly disappeared and I survived on pnut butter and jelly sandwiches, boiled eggs, and cheese. I suddenly lost weight, which negatively affected my overall health. Trump is pure evil. He cares nothing about anyone, except himself. He is unfit to lead America.

Because of Jon Stewart, my husband is finally getting VA healthcare for the first time in his life and received disabled veteran status. This has been so incredibly impactful in our lives. My whole 50+ years of living, their voting record is public knowledge, and statistically speaking, to a person, republicans have NEVER been pro-military. Pro-military contractors? Sure. But NEVER pro-actual American troops. Sickening, and worse because their voters have to KNOW their reps don’t care, and yet they wave their flags just the same.
John McCain was not always particularly decent on gay marriage/adoption let alone DADT, but there is no doubt whatsoever that he always supported the United States Of America and its constitution.

Healthcare certainly hits close to home. I just had a surgery done that put me out of work for an entire week that still cost over $5,000 out of pocket with insurance. Had to use the credit card I just paid off and am now back in the endless cycle of just enough debt to keep you struggling. I'd say "first world problems", but those have free healthcare for its citizens
For a so-called 1st world country, we sure are behind on things. There should be no reason anyone has to go into debt for medical care in this country. Medical debt is the primary cause of bankruptcy in America. Ridiculous!

He told those young soldiers that we were "suckers" for being in Europe since other Nato allies weren't paying their shares. This, from the Commander and Chief! Here's my own research: The question I was trying to answer is how many women are registered to vote in the US and I could not get that number but found this instead. More than 8 million new voters will have aged into the electorate since the 2022 midterms. Our Young people and 47% are youth of colour, these are our lefties/swifties. 70% of women in the US are registered to vote. Women vote at higher rates than men typically. White women are more likely to vote Republican, they are still outnumbered by women of different racial backgrounds and they vote Democrat. Looking at Roe v Wade situation created by the Republicans... We can expect a great deal from our Women in this fight for democracy. 2023 161 million registered voters is down by 168 million since 2022. Voter suppression much? Biden won by 8 million. Republicans are purging rolls like crazy to achieve this effect. Less than 2/5th of voters are non-college-educated white (lump in MAGA or reliably Republican) in 2022. Their voter turnout has not increased since 2018. All the Southern States have had voter turnout decline, except Georgia. Bar North Dakota the rest of the country's states have increased. There has been reporting that behind the scenes of filming the Apprentice in NYC he blocked a long standing tradition where producers had space open in their audiences to welcome in any service members who were in town. These producers say it was a practice for all sorts of talk shows they worked on and trump was the only show runner or lead to oppose this. The producers were so kindly opening up seats in an audience to service members who just needed something to do for the day while they happen to be in town. That speaks very loudly to me.
Never cared for trump but followed that show for it's last 3 or 4 seasons, until Leeza Gibbons beat Geraldo Rivera in the Series Finale. How ironic that The Freedom Caucus started up just before the shows ending.
