April, Thanks for featuring one of our 3-Yard Quilt patterns from the Modern Views book in this episode of #aprilscraftroom. Keep up the great work and happy quilting.
You are so welcome! I just want to say how much I love your books and the quilt patterns in them. Thank you for giving us these wonderful patterns! I am just so flattered that you commented. :-) 😍😘
when you said ppl might cringe...i was very interested what you were going to do..,and then i thought that's the cringe moment...i sew like that whenever i can! 😂😂😂😂. thanks for the video
Those quilts are really pretty! When I have watched fabric cafés with this pattern it was kind of iffy for me but you have shown me how nice it is. I enjoy your videos April and thank you for all the tips! God bless you!
I am with you. The first time I make a 3 yard quilt I usually mess something up. I just have to get in there and do it to truly understand the process. I hope my mistakes prevent others from making the same. :-). Thank you for watching and commenting. April
Thank you so much! I think the pattern on this one was super easy .. the hardest part on this one was deciding what colors to use. thanks for watching! April
Her Modern Views book is my least favorite, but you do a great job in your tutorials. No one should cringe...sewing down a strip like you do is smart sewing and very time saving.
since the second is for a child the dogs are great. i'm making a dog christmas blanket for my granddaughter now, grandson is getting a dinosaur theme, kids love the novelty fabric.
I love Donna Robertson's 3 yard quilts, and your tutorials. It's nice to see how other people pick fabrics. (And it's "colorway" when referring to a group or arrangement of fabrics. Just an FYI!)
Who are the 3 people who always "dislike" and what do they dislike? I know everyone has an opinion but this is free video that you're not FORCED to watch. Be kind😘
I like your second color way better then the first. What fabric line is it from? Both quilts were done beautifully. By the way, my name is April also. I think that might be why I like watching your videos (plus they're done great). Tks
Of course. My Craftroom is in my unfinished basement. At one point in the past my youngest daughter had a permanently temporary room in the basement. We put up 1 x 4’s and attached the pink board insulation. We put fabric inside the room for the walls. So when I asked my husband to cut out a door from what was my daughter’s room we put flannel on the pink insulation board and my design wall was born. Probably way more than you wanted to know. LOL April
Here is a link to Etsy searching on Wild and Whimsy by 3 Wishes which is the fabric line I used: www.etsy.com/search?q=3%20wishes%20whild%20and%20whimsy%20fabric. Let me know if you need more info. :-) April
Thank you for all your hard work in showing us how to quilt! I have a question, What is your display wall made of? I cannot find anything except baton which does not last long - for me. I appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you.
Hi Amy... It is the easiest thing to make ... You will need a big foam insulation board (bought mine from Home Depot) and cover it in FLANNEL fabric ... that is it ... my husband mounted it onto the studs of my unfinished basement. The flannel makes it stick by the static Hope this helps April
