He reminded me of my HR Professor who always used to gjve good marks to only those students who used to write line by line from his given notes/ppt...any deviation from that will result into either getting failure or fetching very less marks... Broken education system..
In up board, my many friends could not take admission in IITs because they passed all criteria for IITs and paased the entrance exams except getting 60% in boards which was eligibility for IITs during that time. It happened between 2007-2011 which was very common those days

I see many people misinterpreting his words. His students there are studying under him for a seat in IIT and if they start researching about modern physics instead of preparing for what they're asked for they'd get lost. If you really wanna research in such an underdeveloped topic in such a young age then don't aspire for an engineering degree,you belong to a higher class of professionals i.e. scientist. Become a scientist,devote your whole life towards the revolution of mankind. And yes people won't respect you for that because they're small, they've small mindset, limited knowledge. So you shouldn't care about them either. But if you do great things there, maybe these people won't respect you because they are ignorant about the world but you would write your name somewhere which the coming generations would study and thank you. So the teacher kept the harsh reality of the society in front of his students because number toh nahi aane waale.

I am not from IIT, but i went ahead and made a decent career in research in Finland with a doctorate here 🇫🇮. What this guy says is completely wrong, plus, this is pure demotivation in my mind, plus, a very narrow minded person. I immensely respect IITians but having done just the bachelors and thinking that you know the universe is pity. Trust me, education after bachelors no matter from where you do it is still very mesmerizing and the world of research is vast and amazing. @@shubhammishra7654 see there is a difference He is teaching for IIT Entrance exam The problem with some students is this ki they just involve themselves too much in these research things at this age only which is not good for our preperation IIT do not see your research talent You have to be good at every subject but most of the talented people just ruin their preperation because they are too much into this thing For example there is a chapter modern physics ...if a person is having interest in this then he just put all his time in this only amd neglect other subjects which are important for JEE . And then they are left with disappointmemt only If you want to explore and have interest in research things then you can do all of this in college but at this age it is not advisable as it can ruin your prep. This is wrong that you are just insisting students not to go for research; Though Quantum Mechanics has not much developed but even classical physics had not developed in the early ages, you can see how it has a wide range of applications. Thats completely false. In iits profs are not free to check your answer copies. Most of the times the TAs(Mtech/Phd) check the answer copies of ug students.
A little learning is a dangerous thing. This teacher from IIT coaching institute is a perfect example of this. If a student takes this lecture seriously, then probably the student will commit suicide if he/she fails to get admission in IITs.

I have no idea ye banda kaisa padhata hai. So i cant comment on that. But 1 thing is for sure, ratt ke IIT nahi pahunch skte. Proper understanding se padhna chahiye. Agar pahunch bhi gaye to sabse peechhe reh jaoge aur ultimately depression me jaoge. Rahi baat marks ki to IITs me koi bhi prof notes se likhe hue ke marks nahi deta hai. In fact exam notes me se aata hi nahi hai. Tumhari understanding test karte hain. Kuchh 1,2 galat profs to har jagha hi ho skte hain, but he can't says majority aisi hoti hai. Aur ye sab baatein bolke ye students ko kya samjha rhe the ye bhi meri samajh ke bahar hai..

I didn't see anyone getting coaching classes for getting admission in MIT (offcourse in other countries, in India they do take classes for appearing in MIT entrance test) so the fact is when students are children our education system do not educate them so well that they can crack jee advanced , or mains by themselves and they need these type of classes to go there(IITs) some children do not take coaching yet they crack jee , in my view they are those who actually deserve to be in IIT not the one who takes coaching and learn to memorize everything. And even though this feels like discrimination yet it is the truth and this gap is created by our education system and it's corrupt members.

I get your point and it's valid. But you also have to consider that the system itself is fucked up and these students (and their professors) are merely doing only the rational thing and adapting to it. Nobody wants to be a martyr pointlessly.

I too know Quantum Mechanics isn't hypothetical (well not exactly, theories keep getting replaced with other theories that explain the same things as well other things, like the search right now for a theory that would unify relativity and quantum mechanics). But in this context, especially to newly minted +2 students for whom the subject is pretty alien and can lead to a lot of confusion and "research" (which sidetracks from the aim he's paid to coach them for). So he's just laying out the attitude with which students are to approach the subject FOR JEE PREP. (The fact that "research" likely leads to penalization of some sort is the fault of the system itself)

@@shubhammishra7654 I don't like it any more than you do. India's higher education system (and Indians' mentality towards it) is a joke in my eyes. All priorities are backwards. The results show. But the point being made here is that if the system incentivizes certain things (de jure or de facto), it's only expected that most people will act rationally and do those things. There's no point in hating the players alone as long as you're not fixing the game.
Im currently in iit roorkee. Im telling you if you think you are going to get the best of teachers from our country or even good teachers in iits you will be highly disappointed once you get into one..
I am Just laughing that he is "only" a batchelor degree holder from iit and he consider himself a physicist .... Man why don't he go for higher studies where he can gain some knowledge what physics actually is.
