Being a 3rd yr in IIT Patna I noticed how different things here are from private colleges. 1. All Clubs are managed by students. 2. All Fests and events are managed by students. Not administration. 3. All Training and placements are handled by senior students for their juniors. 4. Almost zero ragging. (Administration hi pareshan karta hai) 5. Competitive environment. 6. Kuch bhi different karne pe motivation milega.

The problem is the competition. Look, how many people compete for a few 10000 seats. Since the population is so high, they need to increase the standard of the questions asked in the paper. In a way, these competitive exams in india are just a way to eliminate the students rather than to select them into the institution. If an exam is being known worldwide, just because of having a tough questions and not for its approach towards innovation and development, it simply means that it is overly glorified

Reason why iitians are so damn successful: The process to get into iit is so tough and over those 2 years we learn 1 thing for sure "discipline" This discipline keeps us ahead I used "us" here cause even i am an iit aspirant

First question 10:30 1. when IIT's are for the best then why they are selecting the students on reservation basis... it's just like they are training and investing money on disable person to run in olympicsto bring bronze medal rather then giving that opportuinites to deserving...? 2. rather then selecting them on reservation basis allow the sc/st to comptite on the same level and if they get selected... just free the study for them in IIT's,NIT's,IIIT's... don't take any fees from them... although 80-90% of the sc/st drop in 1st or 2nd year of the colleges... and the seats are wastes as through... 3. NOW some bhimta don't say that they are below poevrty line... they are unpriviledge... the basic needs of student in todays world are easily available at this point of time everybody almost have smartphones... if a smartphones is not available then don't prepare for comptetive exams... Edit : I'm not against sc/st but jisko milna chahiye usko mil nhii rha aur yaha MLA k bacche sc/st ka faida utha rhe h... Bhaii kya soch k systems bnaya tha... Discrimination kam hone ki jagah badh gyi h... Gaurav sir, Joh log IIT ka exam crack kar lete hai (0.8%)(10, 000) unka toh theeke... But baaki (99.2%)(12lakhs) students joh crack nahi kar paate unka kyaa???? Unka bhi IIT ka sapna sapna hi reh jaata hai... And somewhere unhone bhi bohot mehnat kiya rehta hai poore saal bhar and andar hi andar unko ek disappointment ka feeling aata hai, which makes them demotivated towards their career ultimately resulting in choosing a wrong career later. And please make a video on career options other than doctor and engineering, bcz as a 12th passed out student, I can see how the society and media brain washes the 10th pass out students to apply for NEET Or JEE if they're choosing science field.

Reality is that ki 50 percent of student wh are selected in IITS is because of there CAST not on the basis of their HARDWORK Its harsh reality guys it is need to be changed

Gaurav ! , Let me tell you more insight I am from NIT Trichy , one of my friend is in IIT Roorkee no need to tell about both colleges , he tells me , but the points you talked about in video are partially true , majority of the crowd actually takes jobs and proceeds in life , there is same traditional learning still going just depth varies , no one listens in class , labs are there but students finish it for sake of marks . There are some from this crowd usually in clubs who stand out and news of them you see in main stream , thats it . JEE just drains you out that you hardly take academics seriously , thats why everywhere you see us , this year in top 3 ranks of UPSC , GATE etc. 2 will be from IIT or NIT .

IIT, IIM, and AIIMS are also from Indian education systems. The problem in other colleges is the mindset of those educators, and cognitive-emotive level of students to take up those extreme challenges. It's a vicious cyclic pattern and interdependent. But now the education culture across india is changing.

The structure indeed seems to be promising. And yes the students who get there deserve to be paid off with the perks they have. Despite this, one thought which pinches, is that we've made education all about competition and if you don't qualify one,..you are not eligible. Anyways, if it was more about enhancing the quality of education at every corner of the country, we might have had a better place.
