I have to chuckle when someone mentions Beyonce in the same breathe as Tina. A great singer must sing greatly-and Tina does. The dancing and costumes are mere icing on the cake.

Must be 1971. The film and sound are not completely in sync (around 4:00), but the sound is exactly the same as on the live at l’Olympia. The cd that I have of this show, has a photo on the cover of Tina in the same dress.

She said later in her career that she screamed and sang so much in the fields as a child it built up her voice so she can sing for hours and days without getting tired , she also has very good technique because of her gospel training from her choir teachers in nutbush
In some interview she said at I think age 63 she said "nobody knew how tired she was of singing and dancing".. she LOVED PERFORMING AND ENTERTAINING BUUUUT she had been doing THIS with and without ike for over 50 yrs by the time her last tour was at 73. Hell yeah she was tired and dancing in the most painful shoes ever 👠 red bottoms 😩. No other female performer is as electrifying and iconic. 👑🩷🎙️

Ike went through 5 hair stages. The fifties it was the slick back hair Elvis look. Sixties he grew the afro.seventies it was the Sonny Bono look.eighties he went to a way smaller afro. After that he went with the flattop look.
Lavel, a 69 yr. Old. I am just now, the last few days, discovering some of these early vids of Ike and Tina. I immediately noticed that Tina is much much more relaxed and having fun. We all know the history. I don't think we need to go over the negatives now. The other day, I happened upon the 1968 b&w promo of "River Deep Mountain High." THAT WAS AN EYE OPENER. Vastly better than any version of I&T than I had ever heard or seen. They all appear to be having fun. It definitely shows in the performance. So if you or anyone reading this has a positive comment or another early I&T vids of please comment on this. Thanks
@@AkX1353 there are so many live performances from the early 70s forward of ike and tina and many here on RU-vid for all of our pleasure to view even if we were born during this time period. As far as their history I said my peace on it earlier in this thread and don't dwell on it Tina is happy now and made her own success and that's all that matters or should

Coming up in the 60',s & 70's, it was mostly clear channel Am I listened to. What vids I saw, mostly b&w tv, didn't impress, because Tina was not happy. Discovering a happy Tina was n eye opener for me. As time permits, I need to dig deeper in your channel. I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for posting.
@MrAnthony78666 Tina gave birth to two. Her first was by a musician of Ike's she dated. Her next was by Ike when they became intimate. She also raised two more boys of Ike's from a previous relationship.
