Excellent work! I did carpentry for a year but never did counters/cabinets. I'll helping a family friend remodel their whole kitchen for free so they can list their house. Using Ikea cabinets/counters and a home depot sink/faucet it looks like I can do the entire kitchen for about $3k. I think I'll make a video of the demo and install having had inspiration from this video.
I have a question i'm having trouble getting answered. I have an L shaped counter so I need to cut for a corner. Now i'm pretty sure i should do a 45 degree angle cut on both pieces and meet in the corner right? The IKEA instructions say to only do straight cuts. Can I do a 45 degree angle cut without messing up the counter?
45 deg surely looks better and could only be achieved if you have good tools and skill. Our carpenter has the skill but if it’s just me, I would do a straight cut like what ikea suggests. Much easier. Thanks for dropping by

Nice. Is there a reason you don’t put the biscuit joints in the middle depth of the worktop? You seemed to place them nearer to the bottomed the worktop?
