My kitchen drawer is jammed and too tight to access the lever to remove the drawer front. Is there anyway other way to release the drawer? It’s a top IKEA kitchen drawer so I could remove the lower drawers but what next?

Hey, can I ask you about the tails? I've seen a number of RU-vid videos prior to starting my install. After looking at the instructions I noticed that IKEA supply small self tapping screws in addition to the "grub" screw for the rails. Its marked screw "b" in the instructions and is apparently supposed to be screwed in in addition to the others. But I never see anyone using them. ??

I’m going to have to have help with my drawer, so maybe my kids can help me. Both sides are snapping in, but when I go to put the shelf in, one side pops out. On another note, I’m going to keep looking for videos, but assuming if you are not using IKEA fronts, you’d have to have your fronts ready before putting drawers together. 😢 I don’t have my fronts made yet.

Thanks for this video! It's super helpful. Could you tell me the specs for the cabinet-head screw you used in the last step of the drawer assembly (3:32). The shank looks a little bit shorter and thicker than the one IKEA supplies. I've been using the IKEA ones, and I keep ending up with a gap between the edge of the drawer bottom and my fronts. It's biggest at the point where the plastic piece gets attached under the drawer, and I'm hoping your screw will help fix this problem. Thanks!

The screws for the drawer assembly are included in the IKEA package. So all these screws are included. They may appear different on camera. I do upgrade my cabinet screws to ones I used in my IKEA kitchen cabinet video. Thanks!

Ah man one day 2 late lol I just built mine the day before. Was scratching my head to start but once you build the first one the rest take less then 10mins each. I should of marked my holes like you stated I had to move them a few times was a pain in the butt.

That’s so true. Once you do your first one it goes a lot faster. Like you I found that marking it out ahead will save having to make adjustments. It’s great you DIY it! Hope you get to enjoy your kitchen soon.

@@DaruDhillon well cuz of covid certain things I've been waiting for on back order for over a month Can't even get the under support for my sink here in BC. and they need it before they can install my countertop and sink... lol frustrating is an understatement cant get it shipped or oder it online either. Luckily they have like 125 of them in Vauhgn in Ontario gonna get a relative to buy it n ship it to me this week. Can see the finish line atleast lol

Im Still struggling with my draw set up not sure what I am doing wrong? I have an 800mm cabinet and 3 drawers, one 400 and two at 200. No matter what configuration I put them and move the runners one drawer hits the other, did they sell me the wrong combination? I have run out of options changing the runners and almost stripped the screw holes in the cabinet changing them so much? Any advice

I would line up the top drawer so that it is flush with your cabinet frame and move on to the other drawers. Sometimes we make a simple mistake that can be fixed by replacing the screws in the drawer front. Often the drawer fronts may be installed in the wrong screw holes. Give that a try.

You can removing your drawer and installing it again. The key to getting your drawer to lock onto the rail is by shimmying your drawer slightly to the left and right once it’s on the rails. It might take a couple of tries before you get the feel for it. The slight movement left and right is key. Good luck and I hope that helps. 👍🏽

What if you’re drawer front has no sticker?! The holes are not evenly spaced from the top and bottom so without the sticker there’s no way to know which way is up.

Most of the holes will be oriented and closest to the bottom of the drawer.

Thanks for the video. I did the hidden drawers, now i cant open the cupboard. I tried the screw that makes it go out but only made it go out a little. You showed it with the hinges open and the drawers open. You did not show how you got the hinges to do that, can you explain?

Hi Robert, with your hidden drawer installed the drawer should sit about 1/4" from the front of your cabinet to allow your cabinet to close properly. Is your drawer installed too far forward?

@@DaruDhillon yes the drawers were installed right after i watched your video. Its when you pull them out they hit the doors. So you could mention that you need a special hinge that Ikea sells that opens bigger so you can open the hidden doors. They are like fatter hinges, I am going to Ikea in the AM to pick them up, otherwise you can never open the hidden doors up! Thank you for the video, it did help!

@@DaruDhillon yes it worked, its a different hinge for hidden door, its much bigger, but i accidentally only bought two, thought they came in a pack of four. Also changed all the hardware on our newer Ikea kitchen, they have gold knobs now, wow what a difference for low cost. Back to Ikea in the AM, guess i will have the meatball lunch there.
