iKon OG1 mixed comb safety razor - Fenomeno "Hindustan" soap 

the Hindustan name seems like an odd choice if that is to indicate a tallow based soap. It would make more sense if that meant no cows were harmed. Perhaps I mis-heard the soap description and the soap is in fact non tallow.

Nice Shave and video. Its nicely surprising to know the name Hindustan which actually means "India" where I belong. The razor too was good with dual comb!

I believe that you could build a lather from sand! Just add "a bit more water"!

Great shave and review, Michael! The Russian artisan soap looks very good. I was under the impression that this iKon razor had a flippable base plate to offer a more efficient or more comfortable shave in addition to the closed/open comb. Maybe I'm not remembering correctly or the razor you're using is a different model. Thanks for sharing your impressions of this razor and soap! Cheers! -Rob

Hi Michael. Looks like a good soap from the Russians. The razor seems to go from one extreme to the other as far as aggressive and mild. A good shave all around though. Thank you.👍

Another great video. I started a video challenge called the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, challenge that is making it's way around RU-vid. When I started it, I tagged small RU-vidrs like myself because I thought there was no chance of getting popular wet shaving RU-vidrs like yourself to accept it. But now it has made it to the likes of Nick Shaves, Mantic59, and Friendship Shaving. It would mean a lot to me if you would accept the challenge and give me a shoutout in the video. Just thinking, assuming the term closed comb does not make why would anybody speak about an open comb. Combs are typically "open", so no need to mention....

I have the soap from this artisan that smells like pure tar and it's super strong to say the least. Performance for me was average and enjoyable.
