A tribute to what seems to be, an unforgettable gem of an expansion all these years later, and one of the final arcs of the Burning Legion. Teleporting Argus, and then flying over was still incredible today as it was then. Seeing the interactions between Velen & Illidan, the return of Alleria & Turalyon after searching for them in TBC, and getting closer to the end of the Legion & meeting the Pantheon Titans; So many memories, and what seems to be now, a pinnacle of wow storytelling, writing and cinematic detail. Miss it so, especially after Shadowlands. For those who remember, and for those who may have missed it, here's another chance to witness the journey.
there is 2 type of people in the world: 1.Arthas 2.Illidan My perspective is that Illidan did things that no1 will ever be close what he did in his time, my favorite ever character one of the best Characters in the Wow universe, from my perspective Illidan is the most important and has the most badass history in the lore... For Illidan !!!!! 🔰
Yeah well I just completed my project of a game which had a character which was so well written that it didn't matter how it ended up for him because of the stakeholders.
Well: Irion helped Garrosh to go back in time. Consequences: Illidan came back, Archimonde and Kiljaeden died, Sargeras is captured, the Legion is defeated, the Emerald Nightmare is over, N'zoth is "dead". All of this because his father is dead coz of old gods.
@@moileung Dude... Arthas Was a Confused Pup. *The King* - Did What he Could (While Alive) However... He Were a Prince, Whom Later Became - Corrupted By *Greed & Pride* Not like YOU Can Choose - Your Family.
Honestly I think everyone looks for way to much in that turalyon about to slice illadin scene. That was his xera was his benefactor for thousands of years and the reason why they were able to fight the legion for so long. Anyone would get mad at that. Not to mention right after he didn't even hold a grudge he just went with the plan like everyone else.
During the Burning Cruzade my Rogue went 7 times to the Black Temple for Illidan's warglaives..... I never got them..... 😢 I'm totally over it, I'm just eating this bucket of ice cream because I want to.
@@daltonsavage1046 I was in high school!!!! And stupid social conventions dictate that you have to focus on good grades and real life before your gaming (this is why I dislike the ending of Player One when the protagonist decided to shut down the server two days a week..... And the minute I saw the Supergirl S5 trailer it gave me nausea, but then again, the whole series has that effect)
I love the redemption arc of Illidan (My favorite character in WoW) It really makes me regret I wasn't able to play the Expansion.. (IRL problems..) Especially when I found out my favorite gear scheme and color for Rogues was revived and then taken away for Gladiator rank.. (Yes I know TOS has a similar color scheme but it is no where near as beautiful as the Red Aura Gladiator effects)
I suppose everyone in azeroth hated Illidan for summoning argus but come on, this was the first time a group of heroes had the best weapons in history and werent chained by diplomacy, only focused on one goal! Fighting back the legion. And Velen understood this was the time
Bro, how fortuitious you post this. I freaking love the burning Legion lore and what they did to Azeroth and its inhabitants and what they did in return. I started playing TBC again but lvling this time as an ally. Very neat questhubs and lore alltogether, but something stands out. The Argus Wake. They're an offshoot cult from the shadow council warlocks and they sought to incorporate the Third Host onto Azeroth. This lore is 10 years old and Sargeras is "captured"... But i thought, what if Blizzard is still going to use this piece of lore, cuz the Leader of the Argus Wake is NOT Nagaz, Nagaz is a follower of the powers the Argus Wake adhere, which most likely is Sargeras. What if retail Illidan IS the Third Host? With the grand scheme of things the Jailer has, Illidan is infused with a little bit of Sargeras' power. What if Sargeras saw this coming too, that Illidan would imprison him. lol /archimonde "you made a pact"(to give your life for this chain of events) Someone stated on the lorewiki page that the "Third Host" could mean a 3rd wave of the Legion trying to invade Azeroth, which they did in Legion expansion. Then this lore would be finished. Wouldnt it be cool if we fought against Sargeras? We get infused by the other Pantheon members, or we found another machine, Azeroth the titan battling in the background while we infuse the machine to power her up much like coals for a train, just like Nzzoth/Jailer fight that uses machine themes too. Would be silly if we fought Sargeras while he is floating before our planet much like the Eternals Arishem scene. But copared to fighting Argus the Death Titan, he was like a child compared to Sargeras. idk, im just geeking
@@meurumtrain4747 But we could also read that Death (nathrezims) maybe has led us to think worse about the void than it is actually... which is the lore explanation of the general panicking "VOID LORDS ARE THE NEW ULTIMATE BOSS OF WOW" that we know since Cataclysm, while now they tends more to bring equal importance for each cosmic forces, so at least x6 more things to complexify the story (the background of the universe actually, which needs to be strengthened)
@@meurumtrain4747 We can't know, Titans can one shot old gods, but they probably don't like to put to much power in a single entity, while the opposite example is Chromathus, a dragon almost more powerful than all the aspects reunited, and even more than all his creators.
@@Aztonio they didn't kill the old gods on azeroth because they've been on azeroth for so long that they're linked to it..they killed y'shaarj by one shot and realized it caused a lot of dmg to azeroth which made the decision to imprison each of them
Not Illidan alone since Velen and Khadgar are with him plus he absorbed a second skull of guldan. Kil'jaeden was still heavily nerfed tho since if it was from before then he can defeat these guys easily.
I cannot believe the "army of the Light" was played straight. It would have made the best twist villain; a trap set by the dreadlords. When I first saw a "light dreadlord" with his horns sawed off (lmao) I thought for sure this was a massive Legion psyop, not a deus ex machina. Incredibly stupid, even for WoW standards.
As much as I hate the gameplay of retail, the story of Legion was pretty good, the last time it was good in fact. Bfa and especially Shadowlands were a crapshoot
I got into wow in Bfa, played through all the other expacs, and Shadowlands, and Legion is my favourite too. I actually did my pathfinder a year before they just gave it away (same for Draenor, and that one was a pain in the...).
Sucks demon Hunters in wow dont got wings and legs like ilidan maybe they ar fake and this role system sucks like som moba gamę wow shud give players full Class Access not cut IT i to pards and tell its role do noob
