Took decades to learn how to stomach negative comments and sometimes it's still hard to wake up in the morning and read somebody's absurd attack. I can't even imagine how that can feel to such a young person with so much at stake. Idols should be protected. Companies should let them skip a training session or two per week, and provide them some quality time with mental health experts.

I just think HYBE is getting greedy and should honestly be call out for their actions: - Pre debut activities of ILLIT were so similar to NJs that fans pointed in out even before ILLIT debuted - Overal side by side of concepts pictures and photo shoot from ILLIT and NJ show many similarities (you can find side by side comparison online with many people not able to differentiate both) - Graphic similarities in album design and photocards - Overall image - NJ did have a very youthful appearance: they had simple outfits, very simple make up, all had black and long hair (which in itself is not an issue, in Baby monster most of the members have long black hair during their debut, people did not point this out because the rest of their image is 100% different) _ Magnetic is not a concept in itself and could have been given to NJ and people would have not though it was a sound change - I'n many aspect the song is similar to their latest release (ETA, Super shy,...) which was way brighter and childish sounding. Similarly, Lucky girl syndrome could have also been given to NJ and nobody would have though anything of it. On the other hand, if we compare to JYPE girl groups or SM girl groups, if you gave a NMIXX song to Twice or to Itzy, fans would say that it is a drastic sound change, same for Red Velvet and Aespa. - The debut team of ILLIT is the same as the pre-debut team of NJ. - all of this was exacerbated by the terrible encore from ILLIT - of course they were compared to NJs onces and the poor ILLIT members were shredded apart because, let's be honest, HYBE rushed their debut, they were not ready to debut so soon and it shows, they literally have the same age as NJs and many people pointed out that only one member fit their concepts, the rest of the group would have shine better with a different concept. So why push a concept so similar to a line up that do not 100% fit it? Why is it problematic? Because they are both from the same company. It means HYBE decide of everything: budget allocation (and decided to invest 10x the amount in ILLIT than they invested in NJ), comeback schedule (HYBE told NJ parents they wanted to put them in a 18 month hiatus??? At their prime while they had a hell of a debut so far to find a grammy awarded song writer when they team has been killing it so far producing successful song after successful song?), they can decide which group to prioritise and which group to put on the side. ADOR was also the only subsidiary of HYBE making money, yet the chairman ignores NJ members and basically want to put them on the backline? Why? Why sending passive aggressive messages after NJ success when it goes directly in their pockets? The whole situation is creepy AF and I get why people might think HYBE Is out there trying to push ILLIT and let the NJ hype fade away. Is it because MHJ owns 20% of the company and in their way? Unsure, but HYBE's attitude is really odd and makes no sense. NJ and Illit members basically have the same age, similar concepts, similar image, they are under the same company, and in they were in any other company, people would point this out as well. LSF and NJ has been a distinct and unique concept, it is evident that they have the ability to give ILLIT their own essence, yet they push the members under the bus and let them gather all the hate while they sip their champagne and cash out the profits. Watching idols grow and develop skills over time is actually a very beautiful thing to experience as a fan and I could give examples but people might drag me for saying that I am trying to degrade those idols skills because that's how good they are today.
what i hope to be in all agency (not just k-pop) not just vocal trainer but also physical therapist and mental therapist. physical therapist same as sport person who can injuries during their work as choreo. for mental therapist is for something like this, not just celebrity or idol but people in general which might face this kind of thing everywhere, school, work place, neighbor. some time need to adjust the way of thinking also how to ignore them. a lot of decision making need in process (also with data collection, information evaluation.) i saw these are also process of learning (to be growing) but if it too much, it's not good. The Probleme is HYBE, they debuteing minors is one thing, but debuteing not fully trained minors is unacceptable….it sets them up for failure and hate, and as young person it can deal a lot of damage. Even though I’m Newjeans’s Stan I don’t see any similarities between btw them except for one or two choreo. As a human being I feel very bad for these girls. They don’t deserve this hate.
In kpop it has become a tradition. Bp got hated bcz of “copying 21", txt got hated for copying bts, bm got hated for copying bp and the list goes on and on These Netizens will start criticising every group that debuts by comparing them to their seniors.
Im not a fan of newjeans or illit so here's my outsider point of view I'm not a fan becz their music style isnt my prefernce they both have very similar music style the way their teasers were released in the 'innocent, pure' theme, when they came out i thought 'woah, is that new jeans?' their make up style, clothing and hair are similar in some ways. i cant pinpoint how, but its just the vibe and everything. i saw the music video like once for 'magnetic' and i thought 'another grp like new jeans'. the only song i liked of new jeans was 'ditto' and the back of my mind was repeatedly making comparisons. Maybe if they had debuted abt 8 - 10 years after new jeans, maybe things wouldnt hv been a huge mess but at las.. i think hybe really messed up on this-
And if that was the case, newjeans concept isn't even original. There's a japanese group named Speed that has the style nj "copied" before their debut. If mhj wants to make drama with the bare minium then we are allowed to make drama with this one.
she chose to be an idol like she should know what would coming after her...if we are talking about hate comments so what about wonyoung who receive ridiculous hate comments till now and look at her, she stayed unbothered and handled them like queen
The fact that she looked like she was blocking people is crazy she has to do that …I can’t stress enough if you don’t like a dmn group or like a member stop watching the group dh it’s not that hard she did absolutely nothing wrong she trained with everyone else and yes the competition was unfair but that wasn’t her fault just because your favs unfortunately couldn’t join the group saying she doesn’t deserve her spot and bullying a child since yall love to protest about children safety this and that while also turning around and bullying them and then trying to act like you aren’t , but she isn’t untalented yes she wasn’t the best but after debut she got better and took the criticism and she has a nice voice and the group honestly fits eachother …. Yes the circumstances of how they became a group is not the best but it’s none of the members fault it’s the company if you have a real issue address the company talking about a child is weird behavior especially to the people who also try to “protect” the children like how are you upset these kids are minors while also sending hate comments to the minors I personally feel like they would have no bad days if it wasn’t for the unnecessary hate towards them they are getting for the companies actions. She must hate doing lives now cause in their first live people were also sending hate comments like it’s something cute to do like wth like sitting their watching the girls and looking at wonhee and thinking I’m gonna type my negative thoughts so she can see it is crazy first it was hate because people said other trainees were better than her and should’ve debuted and people thought the judges were showing favoritism towards her at one point then people got over that when they seen she actually got better and she has talent yes the whole show was rigged and not fair but eventually people got over it after hearing magnetic and thought the girls fit each other okay … now I guess the whole adore vs hybe and the thing is going on people again wanna hate on her as if she’s the root cause of everything that’s going on it just doesn’t make sense …yall have a issue march your ahh up to big hit ent or hybe shi idk anymore too much going on on that end , but go to the company and speak yall minds if it’s such a big issue because it must be if your sending hate to a child .
