Welcome to the 5th episode of Illustrated City! In this exciting instalment, we embark on our first international journey to Seoul, South Korea, to meet the incredibly talented illustrator and SuperAni artist Kim Dongho. Join us as we venture through his favourite Seoul locations, delve into his creative process, and get an exclusive look inside his studio. Moreover, we are honoured to be welcomed by SuperAni CEO Kim Hyun Jin at the SuperAni Headquarters in Paju, the former workplace of the renowned artist Kim Jung Gi.
Putting this episode together was quite a task-I had tons of fascinating footage, and ensuring it stayed around 30 minutes was no joke. I've never been to Seoul, but it feels a lot like Tokyo, which I love. Thank you, and other youtoubers, who bring the world to us, couch potatoes.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Not just because I am impacted by Kim Jung Gi and the Superani artists but also because of how you filmed this episode. I really like your filming style and enjoy the things you make us see and experience. I think the only missing secret sauce is the commentary in between the main scenes of this mini doc. You have a great voice and it would make it much more interesting if you could tell us a viewers what you are seeing or experiencing. Kind of like an inner monologue. The editing is on point and the transitions with the illustrated city logo are just phenomenal. I really like the storytelling aspect of the visuals. I really think your commentary throughout the in between scenes would be a great addition and would up your views in a jiffy! All in all great video. I am subscribed and will watch the other episodes. 😁😁

Hi Klayton! I really appreciate your detailed review 😄. It means a lot! I'm definitely taking your feedback into account, especially regarding the commentary part. It is a common suggestion I've received. Initially, I wanted to let the artists take centre stage and guide us through the episodes, but I understand the need for more than just a soundtrack. I've already filmed the last two episodes of season 1, so I can't make any promises for now, but I'm considering implementing that change in the second season. Hope you'll stick around! You just earned a new sub, congrats man for this absolutely amazing work. It looks like it is not hitting the algo the right way or your videos are produced for quite a niche audience but please keep going. Stuff like this is going to keep the legacy up for so many artists in the next 100 years. Thanks for your time and getting this together!! Best regards from Germany
