Wow! And three days later you are already on the road to 7k! Primarily thanks to your paper effect tutorial, right? I especially like its thumbnail because it perfectly tells what value it’ll bring to the viewer. Impressive job!
Thank you, It's very appreciated! Btw, really digging what you guys are doing. I find your approach/tools to be really helpful for small channels. I'm sure you guys will blow up in no time. Cheers!
Awesome speed-art man! I'm a big fan of your channel! I have uploaded some lettering speed-art videos myself and trying to build a nice channel, so you're a big inspiration! 🙂 If you'd like to have a look I would love to hear your feedback.
OK I don't usually comment on videos but all your stuff is amazing! Your work is beautiful and easy to follow - I'm excited for future tutorials, and congrats on the 1K/7K subs!
From the date of this video to June, you went from 1k to 47k. That's fuckin lit. Easily one of my favorite channels on RU-vid. As for this video, the U kinda looks like an N and it's hard to unsee once you've seen it, but other than that, this is perfect.
Thank you man I really appreciate the feedback! I kinda see the N now and I agree I have a hard time unseeing it lol Thank you for your comment! Cheers!
I know, I don't understand how this happened so fast! I'm super stoked :D but I really I wish I could have posted this video a few days ago! Thanks for your comment!
Thank you man! Unfortunately I still need to brush up my cinema skills before I can make decent looking balloons :P I got them from iStock. I just close-cut them to add the pink wall background / added shadows and messed around with the colours a bit so they feel more integrated. I skipped this part from the video because it was a bit long and it's essentially just tedious close-cutting :P Here are the iStock links if you're interested: www.istockphoto.com/ca/photo/balloon-number-1-one-3d-golden-foil-realistic-alphabet-gm637869240-114016573 www.istockphoto.com/ca/photo/balloon-letter-k-3d-golden-foil-realistic-alphabet-gm637868756-114016089 Cheers man!
Hahah I appreciate it! I'm working on a way to be able to release more videos in shorter time frames. Hopefully, you can get your hands on a laptop and Ps soon 😊 Cheers and thanks for the support!
Thanks a lot man I really appreciate it! This happened much faster than I could imagine, the past few days were nuts! I feel like I'm a bit late to the party but I'm super stoked :P Thanks for your comment buddy!
Thank you man!! I'm not really sure what happened over the week-end but I'm super stoked! :D Thanks a bunch for you comment! I really dig your channel btw super high quality and consistent tutorials! Cheers man!
Sure, I'll make a tutorial or maybe a speed art just because for the 1k, it's mostly close-cutting in Photoshop and it can take a while. And I'll definitely make a tutorial on how to make this type of lettering. I just wanted to upload the Pen Tool tutorial first so people get the basics behind tracing but now I can start uploading some more in-depth lettering tutorials :) Cheers!
Hey thanks for reaching out :) I got into lettering fairly recently, I was following guys like @mdemilan for a while and then discovered @stebradbury's channel which gave me the basics to start doing hand lettering myself. I suggest you check out his channel if you haven't already. He's got tons of great videos to help you get started with lettering. ru-vid.com I hope this helps, cheers!
Thanks man! Yeah it's something I always overlook, I tend to make custom guides out of old habit I guess but I need to start using guides this way. Cheers!
Hi Traci, I'm basically creating a basic shape that has the colour I want the shadow to have, then I make a clipping mask so the shape is only visible over the letter. Lastly, I create a mask and use a soft brush to make it so it looks like the shadow is fading. It's a bit hard to explain by text but let me know if you need more info i'll record a quick clip to show you. Thanks for your comment!
Awesome! I hear you, when it comes to PS there are so many techniques to achieve the same result. Sometimes it just comes down to personal preference, what works better with your workflow. But I'm glad I got to show you a new technique :) Thanks for your comment!
Thank you!! :) You mean how long did it take to create this? I would say about 1h to trace the lettering in Illustrator and about another hour to create the background. I left the creation of the background out because it was mostly just me close-cutting the balloons :P Thank you for your comment!
