I'm 2 years late commenting but to anyone who may be interested - using this tutorial i discovered, to get a milky effect for your liquid (thicker, less reflective) use plaster instead of chrome from the filter gallery - works like a treat. thank you for this tutorial!
You sir are awesome! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing skills! I think I've learnt far more in 3 months watching your tutorials than in my entire life. Keep up the good work! Cheers from France.
Absolutely class tutorial mate - in terms of everything; pace, clarity, articulation of instructions, etc. etc . You've gained +1 subscriber. Top man; keep up the great work! 🤘🏻
I basically know everytNice tutorialng there is to know about soft soft but I still watched tNice tutorials through just because of how good you explained
Heads up: If you are working in 16-bit or 32-bit mode you won't have access to the filter gallery. To get around that problem you can make the layer a smart object, then double click to get into the smart object and make it 8-bit (image--> mode--> 8-bit) .... then after applying the effects you just hit the "save" button and it will be applied to the original document.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! This is wizardry!! Especially after the liquify, I was thinking, damn, this looks so realistic, and then we just kept making it look better and better!
Love the tutorial man! Only thing I don't understand why it happens is the texture part in the lighting effects. I get the same result but I don't understand why you get the 3D looking image when you set it too the gaussian blurred copy of the blue channel. Any other tips on how to get to understand the full scope of filters, blending modes and settings that ps offers or do you also browse youtube for hours looking at other man vids?
TNice tutorials was super helpful, dude! I got the tutorial version of soft soft just to get a taste, and after figuring it out I decided to purchase the
How funny is that? One of my favourite graphic designers commenting the video of another one of my favourite graphic designers. Favouritegraphicdesignerception.
ending of 2020 solving problems for anyone having problem with : 1- lighting room not applying anything >>> update to latest version 22.0.1 smth like that it got the issue fixed 2- flat look image in lighting room >>> change the blur number in beg before lighting room from 25 to lower volume ( dont look at the number look at how the blur looks like on the image in video ) 3- applying the same numbers in lighting room gives diff look than video >> play with the number of height under texture and number of color together 4- using chrome effect twice kinda works sometimes 5- some comments says use plaster gives more milky looks
Hi, I have a question basically I have exactly the same until you go to Filter Gallery when I try to do the chrome it just gets black. Any tips? I'm working with 8bit and even the same font but for some reason it's not working! Help
Awesome tutorial! Only thing I don't understand is, why my result after using the render filter is super pixelated, even though the size of my image is A2. Any ideas how to get a higher resolution?
Sorry bro but this isn't working, as another comment says : "I'm applying light render to the blue copy channel as you do in the video but my text doesn't change as yours and continue to look flat! How can I solve it?"
What I've noticed is that on his screen both colors are set to white. But for the font I chose, it only worked when I chose a gray color on the first color box. I did get the same look up to that part of the tutorial but couldn't get the effect afterwards. I am trying this later again when I restore my patience lol.
guys guys i jsut solved the problem dont set up the blur in beg to 25 no check how the imagie in the video looks like when he set the number 25 and try to play with the numbers to get the same look cuz 25 gives more blur than the one in the video in my photoshop ( lastest version)
Im having difficulties at the lighting effects stage. Im using your font and same size project and unfortunately my text doesn't appear near the same. Not sure how to adjust my lighting effects spotlight. Any suggestions?
Really useful for what I'm working on now. Thank you very much for explaining, easy to follow and I like it that way lol! I'm happy with the result, now hopefully the client will like it as well. :)
@@estevaoucceli7060 U have to chose on Photoshop - Preferences - Perfomance - Advanced -> Drawing mode Normal or Basic. The computer uses a lot of GPU to do lightining rendering and it mutes that option if you don't make the change. At least that's what I found on google and it worked here lol.
Has anyone else had an issue with their image/text disappearing once they open up the lighting effects? Either it disappears immediately once I open up lighting effects or, if it's there, it doesn't look like the tutorial and disappears when I click ok. I'm so confused and I've tried several times! Does anyone have any tips or suggestions?
hi - this all works for me until 'filter render lighting effects' - the lighting effects is greyed out ... any suggestions please? great video and thanks for your time
Hi Ste, do you handwrite all your lettering beforehand? What do you do to make the digitalised version so clean? If there is a tutorial on the process I would love to watch it. Thanks. Awesome work btw!
can we just give that water blue color directly to the letters with out blue background so can i use that effect water blue letter in any background? please help i love that water blue letters i did everything you did thanks man that was amazing.
hey! I have a problem with the first few steps. I'm applying light render to the blue copy channel as you do in the video but my text doesn't change as yours and continue to look flat! How can I solve it?
ik this is very late but in case anyone else is struggling with this and looking for an answer: the simplest way to do that is take your original lettering, either type it out again or duplicate the one you used to begin with, choose whatever colour you’d like your ‘liquid’ to be- if you’ve typed it again, simply change the colour as you would normally, if you’ve duplicated it, use the colour overly option in fx, make sure it’s properly lined up with your ‘liquid’ and it should be fine :) hopefully i’ve explained that alright!
ive been changing settings for awhile now, but Im on the last couple steps. I am struggling to get a hard edge on some of the parts.. its very.. glowy and white. No crisp edges anymore. Do yo have any idea where this could of happened?
Convert your layer to SMART OBJECT If you don't want to keep duplicating layers for backup. (This way all the effects can be changed later when needed)
every rime I go to rasturize a brush with a little dot in the middle of it takes the place of the picture in the layers box on the lower right hand side?
Love this so much, any thoughts for how to do this effect but for an opaque liquid like orange juice? Think there must be a way to use the shading and highlights and apply it to a solid colour version of the text? If you have any ideas please reply thanks :)
