lol @ 5:12 - he missed =P the difference in resources was too great. and welcome back violeTAK! (for your short stay =T ) thanks for all the great uploads!
I saw a lot of the professional Starcraft tournaments on the game channel but for some reason almost all of the players who used Terran never used Ghosts against the Protoss. I wonder why?
That would lead to him starting at a slower pace, and once you start to get sluggish, it's very hard to speed back up. Like if you were a jogger, you don't want to take a week off, because you come back later and you've lost a bit of speed. It's easier and more practical to stay at the speed you need to be at from the beginning.
It's not that much of an expansive issue. It's all about the short-term. Gets the heart pumping to the brain, heightening response time for tough micro moves. Trust me, in my time of playing SC, I can attest that this technique works (if you know the rest of the hotkeys well enough). If the pros do it, you can safely assume it has a purpose.
of course ideally it would be dynamic and we'd get to choose whichever, but first person view tells me a lot more about how a pro reacts to a given situation ..... but i guess it comes down to entertainment value, in the minds of the producers of the show at least -shrug-
Of course they can rush, but with pretty large amounts of prize money on the line, they want to have a little bit better chance to win. They know that the micro and rush defense of all the Korean Gosus is so great that it's probably less than a 50/50 chance to end it, and if they fail, the difference in economies should lose them the game overall.
Lol, did you notice there also were the sounds of someone playing tos in the backround? Like they forgot to mute Nal Ras gameplay while watching iloveOov ... ^^
of course the guy's micro with carriers was great but the true reason carriers beat golieths there was the map. i agree that vessels would have been very useful with matrix and EMP but the problem was gas. also, whoever says the guy should've used nuke is a noob.
to get better at micro you just need to practice and gain knowledge of units' ranges and damages by heart. there is an age-limit for micro and it follows that on average, once you're 22... 23... you physically won't be able to micro as fast as those youngsters out there.
i hate people who always say "emp" use "emp" "emp" is never used BLa blah blah.. in pvt emp is good but. IT COSTS TOO MUCH GAS. TO upgrade emp, get a science vessel and waste 225 gas and have a GREAT chance of losing it to 7 shots from a dragoon. And instead of getting 2tanks worth of gas. PvT is all about gas, well mostly
@KwikShotAce i guess youre jaded by your experience then... because you seem to think in sc theres one way to do everything but that's not true i would know im the smartest person on the internet my hate bubble encompasses your universe
@KwikShotAce hmmmm do you know how much gas that costs? do you know how much gas that many dropship and goliath/tank cost? guess who is smarter than you lol boxer but also me
