The Bodega owner is in jail because he killed a black guy. Everyone knows it and many are too scared to say it. If there had been no video of the attack , we would be seeing pictures of the dead criminal smiling with his family et al. And the news would be lamenting that " he was killed for a bag of chips ". I know it. You know it. Everyone knows it. People are just too scared to talk about it and this has to change immediately .

I was born in NYC and lived there for most of my life; I remember when Mr. Sliwa started his Guardian Angels and have nothing but respect for him. I've long since moved out of NYC to a red state, and every day I thank God for getting me out of that hellhole. I wouldn't even go back to visit unless I had a platoon of Marines with me for protection! WTH is wrong with New Yorkers - electing one worthless Demonrat after another?! I'm not from America, but have known about Curtis Sliwa since the start of the 'guardian angels'. Nothing but the deepest respect for him and his Angel's. New York has turned into a nightmare, but would be a great city if he was mayor or DA.....(I realize he's not a lawyer), but, he has the pulse of the city coursing through his blood, which is an absolute necessity for the service he and hi brave team are able to provide. I pray God bless and protect him and his team in these darkening and tyrannical times.

In my city in Canada, a shoplifter I personally know got 12 months after being caught on 36 charges of retail theft and this wasn't the first time. He thinks that is unfair! Its an injustice for the retailers to increase their prices and the staff with low wages due to useless lazy theives.

When I lived in San Francisco in the early 2000s, we had their usual caliber of DA. A couple of my friends who were city cops told me that police referred to him as "the public defender." This seems to be the case in all large Democrat run cities, and then the politicians in charge are clueless as to why so many people are leaving.

Curtis, I remember you when you were just a pup. Liked you then like you now. If you got the top job, I would come back to visit the city. You don’t Remember how bad it was in the 50s because you were too young. My father never let go of my arm…. I had little bruises and he clamped harder when we crossed the street. Then it was in the 80s I came back with a 2 night lay over. It was a great place. It could be again but it will be much harder to bring it back.
