Roger's humility is next level. The fact that he felt embarrassed to tell the security guard who he was, just shows how humble he is. Any other person with a fraction of his achievements would've pulled the "do you know who I am? " card within seconds of the interaction.
the Class of this man is unreal and perhaps unmatched , humble down to earth and I cannot believe 15+yrs of my life jus flew by watching him... Many Thanks for bringing so much meaning to my LIFE RF.. truly a remarkable human being, a Human of a LIFE time .... cheers ..!!!
@@carmelalinka Since it was the first time he won Wimbledon, the interviewer reminded him that he became a Wimbledon member and was going to receive his membership card. So he brought up that funny story. They also asked him if he would play cricket in the club with Federer afterwards lol.
@@RobManser77 oh that makes way more sense than cricket lol. English is not my first language so probably I heard it wrong in the interview. Thanks for the correction! :D
It's understandable that she may not have been in a position to let Federer in herself. But still she should have contacted her superiors or some club official and asked them if it was ok to let him in. That was Roger Federer for god's sake.
@@johnmartinez7440 Generally speaking yes, I agree, but Messi is the most humble athlete I've seen. The guy is once in a lifetime genius, but has never said "I am the best". By the way Federer and Messi are big fans of eachother because they are so alike as playing styles and attitude.
not enough confirmation. You just say that because you've never felt THAT responsibility. Either you have a normal worried life either you are kid either you are an ignorant. Something every police officer and military knows: Facial Recognition is NOT enough. maybe now you ll understand why some say plebs and sheep people etc. You are one of those. And you just laugh thinking it's easy.
Federer is undoubtedly one of my favorite players of all time not only be because of how he won wimbledon 8 times but because of how humble he is. Respect this guy.
I’m 100% a Federer fan. With that said, the security guard did the right thing. This would be a version of social engineering if he technically was not allowed in Wimbledon 😂
Federer is very humble and down to earth. He's one of the greatest tennis players and my favorite. Always love his trick shots (super amazing) as well as his sportsmanship. The fact that he didn't pull the "do u know who I am" card and instead was begging to the security lady just speaks volume of his character.
The fact that he didn't tell her "Don't you know who am I?" instead of politely letting her know that he won the tournament 8 times, speaks volumes! 👏👏👏🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
I love that he didn't come right out and tell the lady who he was. You'd think after he said "eight times" that she'd have caught on. Great ending though.
She was thinking: “8 times?! Cmon now. Whol you kidsing?.” Maybe if RF said or 3 tiles he might hae been given a chance. CLASS eiptomized. I am forever a fan.
@@imaboostedanimal2774 yeah honestly.... they must have huge photos or posters of him somewhere in there, and forget Wimbledon..... almost everyone who follows a bit of any sports knows Federer
@@arete7884Djokovic is basically the most disliked tennis player of the era, which is quite impressive when you've got people like Kyrgios strutting around.
@@johnmartinez7440 aaand where did you pull that stat from? lol probably from the same places that keep telling you that everyone hates Russia and worships Zelensky. Reality check: outside of your western bubble, millions of people adore djokovic and are actually on Russia's side in the Ukrainian conflict lmaoo
He didn't put his name first, like more celebrities or famous people usually do. He puts his achievements first who defines who he is. "I won this 8 times, trust me I'm a member"😅
Makes me wish we all have his humility, instead of telling him to bend rules using his celebrity, at the place where he respects the history and legacy
Her job instructions were probably to strictly not let anyone in unless they have a membership card. Sure it's more than reasonable to make an exception for Federer but it's not her place to make that decision. She did her job very well.
Yeah, millions of people every day can relate to that annoying feeling when they cannot get past the Wimbledon security despite winning it 8 times. Literally me.
