Yeah, unfortunately many many kids end up emulating the music that they consume and unfortunately end up dead, or in jail. And his point about if Allen portrayed the shit in a painting nothing wouldve happened is so dumb in the big picture. Now of course the nba, doesnt regulate shit because they care about the children in tbe community being negatively influenced but they do shit to protect their pockets which is hard to blame them for. But yeah, a painting isnt gonna have anywhere close to the affect on a child than some music that they are constantly consuming. Ive been a hip hop fan, since the early 80s and i too was on that side of the arguement until i got in my early 20s and started to understand human psychology and whatnot. Now, i believe artists should have the freedom to say what they want but at what point does their integrity and morals outweight it? And i get that many artists are young and dont understand it, but some continue to glorify the dead end street life even when they no long live it and dont partake in it all. And im certainly not talking about all of hip-hop.
